ok so i did it finally got pissed off enough and bought an aftermarket ECU....... will be wiring it up this weekend and pitching the factory computer in the pile of subaru crap for testing lol

ok ill go thru and probe everything this weekend see if i missed somthing thank you again guys for the help so far and gloyale if i wasnt broke and it wasnt a 4 hour drive id take u up on that lol

relay works check engine light comes on im about a week from saying screw it and ordering an aftermarket ECU

I agrre i just wish more people were aware of this. i cant tell you how many times I've had the conversation at meets "yea those are JDM headlights" "ohh really thats cool did you adjust the beam pattern?" "uhh i dont know what you mean" same conversation i always have about JDM mirriors

the daileys eg33 is 6250 i know cuz i came close to ordering one lol. i dont understand why it wouldnt work my only concern would be scavenging from the heads and what type of secondary container you use

i too have been looking into this and think its a great idea! tuneability can be added in later as for most ej swaps it isnt nessisary until much later down the line

pretty damn amazing! not into mudding/ offroad but this is pretty epic

thank you chux as usual you are one of the best resources out there..... i will attempt regrounding everything this weekend and see if that solves the improper powering issue

ok well that might be the issue then as EVERYTHING is grounded to the chasis.... what abouth the ECU itself. it is in a plastic watertight box should it be grounded as well?

i dogknoted the grounds together and grounded them to the chassis should i undo that and run individual ground wires? also does the ECU case need to be grounded? it currently lives in a water tight case inder the hood

ive got no priming from the ecu to the fuel pump.... now what lol

what do they usually charge dan?

looking for a shop to shorten my XT driveshaft any reasonably priced shops in the area?

ok plan on rewiring the fuel pump this weekend. any other circuits that are MANDITORY that may have been overlooked?

looks like you have done a great job restoring this rig! cant wait until mine is that clean..... its a basket case right now....

i have still yet to buy or know some one who has bought an XT that DIDNT have ants....... i mean sh*t mines been sitting for 4 months and has already got a NEW ant infestation..... the insulation must be made out of sugar or somthing...........

start signal wire is which pin? i do have a random yellow/red wire that i cant figure out what it does the alt is early impreza ive tryed it with and without the alt so i dont think its that.... what gauge is this IG. on wire you speak of?

on the radiator mine was on the passenger side next to the fan

the crank and cam sensors were very bad when i got the engine they have since been replaced. i have everything else but ZERO spark... spent all weekend milling over wiring diagrams and cant seem to find any reason why it wont spark..... i know its bound to be somthing dumb that im not seeing.....
