Ivan, What advantage is there doing this over just using the outback 4.44 trans?

So Marcus and I were the only ones to show up then his friend Josh was added along the way to the pipeline. Nothing super technical but there was a few hill climbs and DEEP mud holes that you could push the car to the limits if you wanted to. Lots of areas available for high speed off road hoonin' which I've been craving lately. I didn't take as many pics as I would have like nor as much video since I couldn't find the charger for my GoFaux. Only two phone vids and a couple of pics. Some of the hardest stuff we didn't get to until right before dark so you wouldn't be able to seen anything anyway. Marcus splashing his way down the pipeline road. Josh taking the 'burb through a tank trap. I really wanted to do the tank trap but without a snorkel it wasn't an option. I had already sucked in some water, destroying a paper air filter, going through a fairly deep puddle coming down the pipeline road. Luckily Marcus had a spare filter and after a quick trail mod I was able to keep going. Besides the usually fixes of having to tighten down all my bolts, I need to replace my rear diff bushings, adjust my lateral links in the rear, and make sure the intake, IAC, and throttle body are clean. A snorkle is also on the list for improvements. Here's Marcus and I posed up on some obstacles before we got too muddy. All in all it was great time. Almost every where we went a stock subie could go but there was definitely enough obstacles available to keep a modified Subaru entertained. Can't wait to go back. Hopefully next time we can get a bigger turn out.

I keep my pucks in the freezer not under the car. They slide better on the ice that way. If you want a real lift that will take the abuse, use steel.

When and where are we meeting? I've got my GoFaux...I'll make sure it's charged. Still haven't found a good place to mount it yet.

Do you have a dual range? If so, you should be fine.

Hopefully someone who lives in a warmer place will chime in. Honestly Manastash Ridge and the Naches area up to Rainier is one of my favorite places on Earth. If you don't mind the cold I could send you some coordinates to a couple good camping spots that have fun easy trails nearby. Just bring lots of firewood.

That's a great place to go. There are plenty of mild trails around there and the FS roads are a blast too. In March you might still have snow but it will definitely be cold. If you are willing to travel that far I would go to someplace warmer since it is your spring break.

must be a tater thing... Moon rocks is fun but without a D/R you will just be driving up to look at them, even then you will need a few dry days otherwise there will be too much slop on the trails around there for an under powered single range car.

Marcus.. Dry ice is the quick way. Freeze it then chip it out with hammer and chisel. 88Hatch... Very nice build/resto. Nicest I've seen in a long time. Love the hatch.

After watching that vid, I should have taken a higher line but at least it was a good test for my sliders. I got a couple vids too and will upload them later.

Picked up my new mud terrains yesterday and installed a bigger skidplate so I'm ready. Skylar... if you want to ride along with me just let me know.

Interested in see how these turn out. Let me know if you need someone to test them. or you could beef it up and have a tie down failure.
