  1. I get 18-20 mpg with 215/75/15 BFG MT KM2's. That's with a 3.9 D/R and 4.11 rear diff.
  2. Add a little moisture and Naches is a mess. EC is fine with me though especially since I need to work on slowing down my driving style. Wherever we go people need to be adequately prepared not just their cars but shelter and food too.
  3. Naches is fun but EC is much more challenging. Naches is also has better weather for camping. The bonus with Naches is that you can also go over to Manastash Ridge.
  4. 9 vehicles... and a little snow...
  5. I hope it comes in another color besides pea green.
  6. Two shovels, three axles, a cable winch, two timing belts and AAA added to the spares for this trip. I want to make sure I get up there in my own car this time. Jesse are you coming too?
  7. Reid can you bring a couple for me too?
  8. See you Saturday!
  9. My bitches... Frankie - 91 Legacy and Stella (soon to have a makeover) 7" Strut blocks / 6" body blocks EJ22 and 5sp D/R trans 215/75/15 BFG MT's Custom Bumpers, useless winch, and Snorkel (not shown)
  10. At least yours lasted that long. Mine was bent on the first trail. I'm interested to see what you come up with since that is the area that typically see the most action/abuse.

That's how I was envisioning it. i'm glad its that easy. Thanks.

I've been trying to find that write for awhile but the new search functions are limited. Anyone know where to find it? Numbchux?
  13. Nice to see a couple other lifted Legacy's around. I'm getting ready to disassemble mine next week. It would be fun to get a pic of all three together before I tear her apart.
  14. I'm with Gloyale on this one. As someone who has done the swap... unless it's strictly a wheeler don't do it. That being said, so far the EA trans has done well being mated to both of my EJ's (2.2 and Frankenmotor).
  15. Spotter's fault. Too bad you didn't have video of Jesse. That was crazy... I'm glad there was a stump on the other side to keep him from flipping. For all the funny/crazy stuff that didn't get recorded I might just have to invest in GoPro depending on the battery life.
  16. That was definitely a blast even without my car. Just got it back from Stanwood after changing the timing belt and water pump. Thanks again Jesse for driving me home. Thanks to Pat and Jeff too for the ride along. It's fun to see how other drivers attack the trail and how their cars respond.
  17. Now that you're here you should come up. We've got a run this Saturday. Hopefully less carnage this time. I'm sure Jeff is hoping the same.
  18. I ended up having to adjust my clutch cable a few times. Let me know when you're ready to do a D/R swap and I can give you a hand.
  19. 86bratman: You never gave advice in your first post, just some peanut gallery remark to make your fellow stooge feel good. bratman18: You didn't try and help the kid. You lied to him. Since you two clowns are obviously just doing this for kicks I'll leave you to it. Have fun trollin' trolls.
  20. I would have been more clear up my setup but you already knew what my setup was considering we've had this same conversation in a couple of other threads. The kid just wants to throw on OB struts and some spacers. With that setup he should have zero problems if he keeps the spacers at 1" or less. Perhaps the reason your foz eats through axles is the way it's lifted. Straight 2" strut lift with no camber correction or spacer blocks. No wonder your having issues. Maybe you can find a 3rd bratman and Larry, Moe, and Curly yourself a fix for your Foz instead crying wolf to a proven method to lifting a Legacy. Considering what I've done with my legacy and the places I've taken her you're correct on the knowledge part. Have fun changing that axle while the rest of us are out wheelin'... and I'm not talking about putzing along a power line road.
  21. Last run for the Legacy so it just might be. I can't get too crazy though because I still have to drive her home. If you're bringing straps I guess the only thing I need is a crescent wrench. Size 44 to be exact.
  22. Total strut lift over stock geometry is only 2" and I've had ZERO issues with stock legacy axles on or off road. Every time someone talks about lifting their Legacy you cry about your Forester axle issues. It's not the same platform. To ThatSubaruKid.... Check out the Offroad section for more info, do the research, and if you have any questions about lifting your Legacy send me a PM.
