i would say go for the cone filter. however with my experience i would suggest doing one of the following: -get some intake tubing and run it into your fender well and put the filter there -or, leave the filter in the engine bay. use a cone filter with a heat sheild on it. it has a opening at the top. you can buy snorkle hoses that attach to it so you can run it toward a "cool" spot on you car. here's an example, sorry it's an ugly color

i had CV Axles put together brand new ones for me. the inner doj casting # is 95LAC which is the same # as the XT6 but 23 spline. corky filled me in on all this so he would be a better person to ask

i am running front XT6 awd axles(25 spline) with 23 inner DOJ to fit my d/r

if it's not going to get fixed by you/ins. i say.. new windsheild + cutting torch = CONVERTABLE!

there was a time when my drivers windo stopped working. so i clipped the ground(that goes through the door jam) and ran a new one. fixed that problem.

all GL non turbos were SPFI. i believe the XT is the only one that had the N/A MPFI.

on mine the drivers door doesn't control the front pass. window, and only rolls the rear ones down. i too used a new switch box...same problem. never have really cared about fixing it! just wanted to add my .02. and hear some feedback as well.

you will need to get a set of rear control arms that have the sway bar mounts on them
