good luck, cause all of us have 6 inch lifts. take a measurement with your sube sittting on the ground naturally from the center of the top mouint to the center of the bottom mount. that is your resting measurement(they call it something else, damn my memory) now take that measurement and add however many inches up and however many inches down.so, you have 20 inches at rest right?if you want 10 inches of travel you need a shock that :compressed length=15,extended length=25 http://www.gorancho.com/products/appguides/2005/2005_specifications.pdfthis is how i learned.........it takes some reading, but you will know your ************ after you do it.and the search function won't matter.there are always other options.ohhh, and just so you know,i'm really not trying to sound like an *&^hole.....

do it man....i have heard of a guy around town that did it ,exactly what you are saying .i hav enot seen it , but i would love to.....
  3. 7 mile huh....is it open right now?i haven't had time to get out there.maybe this weekend?
  4. nope ,no bind.it still is really grabby.i went to the rgavel pit after work and it seems that i need a witness to check me out from the exterior of the vehicle .i'll get ruda to check it out this weekend.
  5. will find that out this morning.
  6. right on man......i hate the little things.
  7. i guess that my linkage tweaked when i mounted it......it has been moved now.and the 4wd lever goes all the way down .i have to say that i have been under some stress and i guess i was trying to rush it.it is my daily driver ya'know. i am the king........ on a positive note....i can do 65 in 4 hi.
  8. thats a good idea scrap............ there is a 1 bbl at the yard right now.i will stop buy and see if it still has an intact cable.
  9. if you mounted a redrive of this sort, their would be no tranny.we would want an adapter redrive .kinda like an "inbetween" gearbox .they make those for combines, tractor pto's ....things like that.the hard part is finding a case that fits.would have to make one. we could really make our own transfer cases.for mount inbetween the tranny and engine.a bolt on affair.all we need is a reduction gearing .
  10. that would be ft4wd........it might be a ft4wd.it.s from a 90's loyale.and i don't think it was original
  11. if you need some good used ones i have some........send me shipping and they are yours.i hate to see you ruin a perfectly good car.pm me your addy or put it here.....
  12. it just may be the different feel.but man it feels like it is binding.weird.i'll let it go for a day or so and see how it feels.
  13. when you put your 5 spd d/r in ,did you experience what felt like bind in the front end?it only happens when i am going around corners. did i maybe happen upon a fulltime?my axles fit....? whattup???
  14. pretty much any ea-81 or ea-82 hub will fit up front.the only issue i can think of is the fitment of rims afterwards, but iirc, that is only the issue with the caliper.due to some of the wagon wheels rubbing that i have heard of.and even an ea-71 hubs can interchange with ea-81 hubs.check it out.........i have saved myself like this before.
  15. you mean where the spring mounts?cause there should be a couple of little ears for the springs to go on.i am mainly talking about the shaft itself.it is a good idea to put some lithium grease on that sucker to prolong the life of your bearing .
  16. for everything that is sacred and easy on this earth....they will work
  17. scares the hell out of me........
  18. definitely the fact that i do not have to deal with timing belts is a plus for me.but i would like to have the power of an ej-22 as well.only if there was a way to do that?!(besides conversion)the ea-81 is bulletproof.i have beat the hell out of a couple now and have had no problems other than the norm.all in all, i read about these guys putting all kind of turbo stuff on there ea-82's to get the max power and it seems that they push them to the extremes and fix stuff more often than not.which i guess is the nature of any modded vehicle really.i personally require a simple as pie vehicle.ea-81 for me.....slightly modded of course, but not necassarily for power.
  19. got the 5 spd in and .....welll, there is no clunk! awesome.....now i just have to get the driveline in before i drive it again and lose all my gear oil(yes i did it,and only lost a tad before i wasn't a dumb*** anymore). got the tailend of the tranny "plugged " in a very imaginative way with the help of baccaruda, and man if i could only explain it.it is funny lookin...involves a cv boot,a couple of hose clamps and a shifter handle.
  20. orv is open at nine mile as long as weather is not forbidding.wanna go this next weekend on sunday?if i get my driveshaft in..........
  21. i had an awesome set that i ran for a while ,as did the owner before me,and then sold with a whole lotta tread left to jeffroid.they seem to be a good tire.and if you get the m+s version they can have a pretty aggressive pattern.
  22. please save my sanity and lack of thought.....ALL 5 spd d/r's are 3.9 right?i am 99 % sure ofthis....don't know why i am doubting my knowledge, but if you can assure me of this ,then i would be greatly appreciative.thanks, brian
  23. all i have to say is.............nice........
