that topper is one of about 5,maybe 10 that were ever distributed on the west coast with that shape .they came from a place in seattle that made them ,and then realized that "the brat thing" was going to be a very quick social fad and stopped making them.if it is in good shape and you don't want it ,take it off so you don't kill it....please:grin:

i have started working on a project that i would like to utilize an xt6 rack and steering box as well.if you guys have any extra stuff i would greatly appreciate being able to purchase it.and please,don't be shy post your results..........

or just build a subframe for it out of tubing and utilize that as the cell....

not only is the colormatch a ***************,if you get one from a later model the harness comes out on the back of the engine instead of the drivers side.(which going into an ea-81 is not good)ea-82 works out well.

get a can of "deep creep".and spary the livin hell out of it..buy a new spring and it should free up qa bit.you can also find another throttle cable bracket,a long piece of like, two inch metal and drill some holes attach it where you can and just put a pull lever on it.you can find al sorts of things at your local hard ware store.your not building a rocket here,anything that pulls out and pushes in will work,as long as it has a cable that is trong enough.

cut the hole.....or extend the throw on the rod.i bet that is all it needs.

or you could drive it to spokane and leave it inmy driveway when i'm gone.i won't be mad ,i swear.

that seal xcan kill you as well.check to make sure that your y-pipe and and tailpipe section is tightened down .this sits right below your shifter.and if it is loose it can let fumes up through your shifter boot(maybe a small tear or something.

they do make a couple that will bolt right up,pretty tight.but you would be hard pressed to find clearance.
