XT6 front brakes on Legacy spindles!!!
I got some 1992 Legacy SS front brake caliper brackets.. and they accept the XT6 front brake calipers!! thanks to Blackbart for the hookup, thanks to xtturbo on xt6.net for the research! I am really glad I won't have to deal with the rear E-brake conversion... I am running 15" wheels so I don't anticipate clearance issues. I'll post a pic later this weekend.:banana:

adapter plate Ej-EA...
that converts to 11.11 millimeters. the exact depth of the adapter plate should be 12mm. Most people have successfully used 1/2 plate which converts to 12.7 millimeters. This of course means that your plate is kind of shallow. I don't know if that will be important. You might have clearance issues with the starter. I don't think that would interfere with the clutch. anyone else???

you should subpoena that officer, too.

door swap
those will both work but you have to swap in the brat glass. the hatch doors also have an extra support piece in them for crash protection.

ej22 Swap help - no spark
have you swapped out coilpacks? verified that the ignition switch and relay are OK? a lot of people have discovered loose ground wires causing post-EJswap problems.... good luck! ...I have an extra coil pack I could send out Monday....

Re-locating Radiator
your design's really cool, but I can't help but think that it will render the bed of your Brat near-useless... maybe you could install it in the very front of the bed, under the window, and get air to it by making a duct for that purpose. You could 'glass up a duct in a weekend. Have a couple of scoops up on the roof that draft down the sides (next to the window so your vision and slider aren't obstructed) and to the radiator.

"when something expensive brakes its...
yes they would. sometimes they'll go for a stretch without getting any EA81s or EA82s but they have some now.

homebrew subaru hybrid
You'd go broke buying car batteries, and hybrid car bodies are designed to be lighter to make up for the excess weight of the batteries. I don't think it would give you a successful level of efficiency. Good thought though.

Do the ea82 heads work on the wrong sides? Please Help!!!
yes. the EGR thingers should be part of some pieces which are attached to the bottom of the heads via the exhaust studs, which means that you should be able to swap the EGR things to their correct sides.

Can't get my dash off!
uhhhh, where's the smoke coming from? and we need to know the year and style of your car. you will have to pull out the radio console and shifter console, drop the steering column, probably remove the glovebox, probably remove any and all underplastic concealing the wiring and heater, and then remove the main bolts that hold the dash to the unibody.

Extra Coolant Line
Lots of cars have extra coolant tees which are plugged off. I've wondered what to do with mine, perhaps running a line into the cabin for a beverage heater or steering wheel warmer or something

Found a brat in the northeast
It's not an unreasonable price if it's in good shape. I will be selling mine soon and asking $3k even. Maybe more. And Brats are less rare here.

EJ clutch for EA Box?
yeah, it's not the disc that needs the upgrading that much, it's the clutch cover (aka pressure plate) that allows slippage. Get a heavy-duty pressure plate and sure, while you're at it, upgrade the disc itself.

40 Miles per gallon with ol Gl wagon
I applaud your results. You should put a sign in the back window that says "too slow for you = 40MPG for me!" I'll bet you still get "birdies" but you'll probably get some thumbs-ups to offset them. I have a host of upgrades planned for my Brat to improve the fuel economy: Tornado air cleaner thingee Magnets all over the gas tank, fuel filter, exhaust pipes, driveshafts and axles, to.. uhh, keep the ionic alignment of the fuel molecules in physio-spiritual harmony with the gas mileage fairies. Cross-drilled fuel lines for a cooler fuel circuit. Everyone knows that excess heat = wasted exothermic potential. Helium in the tires, 45psi. Gonna carry a few extra spare tires filled with same for more "lift" Speaking of lift, I'm adding a Red Baron spoiler to the top of the bed canopy, to reduce drag and to make the back of the car weigh less. Might put one on the hood too. Keep the car washed, waxed, and for extra aerodynamic "lube," Vaseline'd. Except the door handles because I'd look silly if I couldn't even get into my own car. Pay a little "extra" on my monthly physics bill, "just in case." Upgrade to XT/vortex front bumper, fenders, and hood for more aerodynamic street cred. Plus nobody's ever done this with a Brat before AFAIK. Chrome plate the entire car to reflect more energy-robbing heat away I'll let you all know how this stuff works out.
