CLUTCH PROBLEMS EA81 1985 Brat
When did they use the Nippon denso disty? At least I think that is what I have, ordered a cap and rotor from RockA, and they were both wrong. Went to CarQuest they got me the same wrong thing. They finally found the right thing on a 79 or 80 model not sure now, so I'm wondering if the engine has been swapped out.

need 1982 subaru info/advice
My understanding is that the World PAC axels are brand new, sold / owned by Car Quest auto parts, just picked one up from there today. If your steering column is shot I have one I will sell you. Let me know if you need it. Rock Auto also has new axels made by Empi no experience with these yet. They also stock a bunch of parts for the Brat, just a FYI.

Backfiring after going through high water.
Went to go to work in it today and it played dead as a door nail, absolutely nothing when I turned the key. I had just it running last night a couple of times turning off and on. Didn't have time to play with it, so i just took the Tahoe instead. Turned the key when I got home, same thing. Turned the key one more time and I heard a click, real faint & the light bulb came on starter isn't getting a good contact some how, not the cable coming from the battery, I wiggled the little wire with the clip connecter on it. .bingo took right off. Must have been some water create just enough bad contact, ALL GOOD NOW :)

Backfiring after going through high water.
Went through high water tonight on way home from work. I bailed out of the street into a drive, was idling like a carp out of water, tried to feed it more fuel didn't seem to make it worse but not any better either. After a couple of minutes it died then couldn't get it started again. Thought it was just vapor locked cause it was backfiring through the Weber 32/36 and then through the exhaust sometimes not every time. So I let it sit for 15 minutes before trying again & same thing. I though maybe I'd be better letting it sit for longer like 45 minutes, still no luck coming back through the carb. I looked for vac hoses that may have come off and saw nothing out of place. Do I need to take the carb apart or let it sit over night and see what it does in the morning? Other thoughts?? Thanks for any input in advance.

CV Joint Preference for 86 BRAT GL?
If they were still Empi made this would be good today. Not so much are they still Empi now. Sunday I was in need of having a replacement, initially I was intending on going Empi then I remember last year they sold out so I went with A1 Cardone remanned, hopefully I won't regret going with this one.

Quick cheap brumby EJ20 conversion
Yes it's possible, at least I believe it to be. Should run like a champ once you get it up. I've not tried to swap any engines, so no advice there but I'm sure it's doable. Just take your time and go step by step.

EA82 rebuild kits?
For that kind of money you are looking for all those parts you'd be better off looking for another motor. When you get into the bottom end of these is when the $$$ start really racking up. And not to mention the time you would have to input, maybe you have more time than I though. I know if you're in the Midwest like I'm these cars are not that popular and hard to come by. If you look hard enough you'll find one though. A 2.2 out of a 96 outback or older legacy would be perfect those are rock solid engines.

EA82 rebuild kits?
Awesome deal! How extensive of a rebuild are you looking at?

CV Bearing ?
Yeah, I went ahead and rebooted / packed it put it back on. I now have one on the way from RockAuto. I repacked the other side about a month ago, except I didn't pull the balls out and disassemble it, there was not the shinny surface around the exterior like this. I'm thinking I might just get another to have on hand, I have an extra axel to use for a core.
