  1. That's exactly what I mean - I can't stand the Neturai Karta. I'd always be proud to sport 'Od Abinu Hai or 'Am Yisrael Hai - in Hebrew and Arabic, but I'm an instigator.
  2. How about a bumper sticker that says: Neturai Karta? Lekha l'Azzazel?
  3. I've been using a yellow Super Stock for almost a year in my XT-GL without a single problem - it's even mated to 8mm Super Stock wires and Bosch Platinum 2's (which I am about to replace with NGK V's).
  4. I've been thinking of adapting either a 'Lude or Supra kit to my XT... the 2nd gen (88-91) 'Lude has a kit by Kaminari that is identical to the one Kaminari used to make for the XT (but the bumper cutout is on the wrong side). Supra skirts fit an XT without cutting, so I figured a 2nd gen Supra kit would work also. Depends on which is cheaper, lol.
  5. Bolt-On Bits: CAI, springs, shocks, rims, shifters, etc - Subaru versions of all the crap other imports get
  6. I've been thinking of swapping my 3AT for a 5MT
  7. How different is the current H-6 from that found in the SVX? I'm trying to milk my XT for all it's worth, but I expect to have to purchase a new car in three or so years - hopefully, the H-6 Legacy sedan will be available By the way, my XT, with its 1.8l H4, requires premium gas.
  8. Definitely get the XT, you will love it. I have an NA XT (FWD), and it was pretty easy to build the NA engine to the point of eating Hondas. With a turbo, you're going to be set. Welcome to the family
  9. Ever since I had m 93 Legacy, I haven't looked back - when it came time for a new car, I bought the XT If I ever win the lottery, I'm going to have Cobb Tuning build up a Legacy GT (turbo model) to the point where I can put "M5KILLA" on the license plate
  10. Is the redline based on vehicle or engine? My 86 XT-GL (EA82) has a redline of 6.5k...
  11. You have to keep refilling NOS bottles, which adds up quickly. At least the batteries recharge of the alt while you're driving around
  12. So anyway... what's the most I could get out of a carbed EA-82? If I could pull between 170 and 200 out of it with a turbo or a super, it would be worth it just to have the hot-rod look
  13. And run some flexible piping between the intake duct and the MAF? I was just drooling over the idea of a hot-rod XT
  14. Any way to get a functional, Hilborn-esque scoop to work with an MPFI intake? I really LOOOOOVE the look
  15. EA-82 MPFI in an 86 XT-GL to an EA-82 carb? Is this possible and would it yeild any increases in performance? It would sure as hell look nice with an aluminum spoiler in the back, a Hilborn-style scoop on top, and side-exit glasspacks
  16. I could never get the spelling of that word down to save my life! If a 5MT could be wired to operate tiptronically, I'd be happy, since it seems it would be easier to mate the 5MT with a car that orgininally had a 3AT than it would be to swap in a 4AT. As it is, I have a bad habit of manually operating my gear selector (I strart out in D, then drop down to 1 and work my way through when I feel like kicking things into high gear).
  17. If you devise a feasible way to make the car triptronic...
  18. Grr.... anyway to lower my gearing so that I can keep pulling after ~80mph?
  19. Thx... Just one gear is all I'm asking for, lol - it's a demon until it hits 3rd, and I loose all my grunt )-:
  20. I know, I know - the idea seems silly. However, a lot of clutch work kills my knees, so I need to stick with an automatic transmission. Anyway, running my XT through the gears gets me to ~85 before power tapers off - I can cruise at ~95 if I push it, but it's difficult. Using the gear selector, 2nd tops out at 75, so I figure one more forward gear would allow me to hit ~120 or so (which would be nice for embarrasing ricers). So... how hard would it be to swap my 3AT for a 4AT, on an FWD?
  21. There is still a lot you can do to increase the power of your car. Search the threads. Just the little I've done has boosted my XT from ~95 to ~105. The most expensive part was the $80 it cost for the mech to weld up my muffler My air filter setup cost me roughly $50, and half of that was shipping and handling for the filter and heat shield off eBay.
  22. You can find a .wav and a .mqv (requires Quicktime to view) of my beast by cutting and pasting the followign link: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/subaruxtclub/files/Gregg's%20XT%20Stuff/ I made these on the road using my Sony Clie UX-50, so bear with me on the quality
