  1. To get it fixed with out spending hundreds of dolllars you need to take it to an exhuast shop and just have them weld the holes shut. You wont need a whole new pipe or resinator. I'm sure the leaks are minor and can be welded shut. This will be WAY WAY cheaper than replacing pipes and resinators and cat converters.
  2. I love how ppl think 4 cylinders cant go fast. My KIA easily brakes 100 MPH with a 1.5 liter. Rage that hatch !_!
  3. Did it look kinda like a prelude? That would be the XT and XT6. Both you could get with 4WD and were 2 doors.
  4. Have you installed different size tires than the OEM ones? That will throw it off good.
  5. Howdy from the TwinCities, I'm in Burnsville Just make sure its not some kid with some string and masking tape! The only real difference I've seen is some places have a fancy lazer guided weapon of mass alignment and some places just have some string and tape. I prefer the LGWOMA If you are worried about it find a shop that does just alignment, suspension and tires. They will be more focused on this and have the proper equipment to do a good alignment.
  6. Hey now if I wanted to see your Peter Solberg Id look in your garage
  7. I have a pile of 4 in my garage with tires on them. Extra crapped out style but I do have the hub caps also. PM me if you want them.
  8. Good point. Do you guys have profiles on your ebay accounts? Maybe you could ad USMB or USC member there? Then just check ppls profiles before bidding on Subaru stuff.
  9. Dunno, thats why I asked him IF it fits THEN he should use one. Cheap, easy and they are good fans.
  10. hah cool. Maybe just add USMB or USC to it ?
  11. Just wrote my order down. I'll mail it out today on my lunch break. ALso going to throw in a donation to the USMB, I SWEAR
  12. Think you could stuff a fan from a Legacy in there? They are quite a bit more beefy. Easy to wire up too if you just cut the wire before the plug at the fan itself.
  13. On my 88 GL wagon I pulled the whole pump off, the bracket from the block, all the silly lines and brackets down to the fittings on the steering rack at the main crossmember. I also removed the AC pump and all the stupid lines, fittings, canisters, condenser, etc etc etc. Had to get a new V belt then so I could run my alternator and water pump. Just measured it by running a string around where the belt would go and foud a belt at the parts store the same size loop (or close cuz the alternator swings over an inch) Rack still works fine. I didn't even cap off the lines at the main crossmember where the fittings are wide open. Might be wise to cap those off but whatever floats your boat. I guess my steering rack likes muddy water and sand
  14. This is an EA82 SPFI and the timing at the distributor is 20 degrees before top dead center. Note Craigs scan at the bottom Also check your fire order 100 times It CAN start and run funny with the fire order off. She fires 1 3 2 4 (left head then right head) and your cylinders are clearly labed with raised numbers on the block at each cylinder. Hope you get her running smooth soon!
  15. If you are going to lift and put big tires on forget the 5speed. The only time I use a 5th gear with my 29" tires is coming down a hill. As soon as it levels off and/or comes back up the next hill its back to 4th and hope nobody gets in the way to slow me down. When slowpokes get in the way its back to 3rd so I can crest the hill and get back into 4th. On the interstates and freeways around here the speed limit is 70mph. I can hit that, and easily sustain it, but not in 5th gear. Unless you have some big ideas about a real power plant just shoot your money on a lift, big tires, and offroad stuff  No need for that 5th overdrive gear in an offroad rig. Just keep flooring it in 4th !_!
  16. This is why they design 'hub caps' Real hub caps just cover that stub sticking out and your actual hub. What most ppl have are wheel covers that cover their whole ugly black steel rims; like those wal-mart spinners  I would get a neat hub cap for the center of your rims before sawing that off.
  17. That system is in th works. PM Shadow for details. SOrry to hear you got ripped off man
  18. I was looking at my EA82 SPFI lastnight thinking about this thread. It looks like I could NOT put on a double belt pulley on the alternator. I would need the whole alternator with pulle if I wanted to do this. If I just swaped on a dual pulley they would not line up with the other dual belt pulles The outer most pullies line up and then the inner pulles line up with the alterantor fan built into the belt pulley.
  19. I was sanding my wagon in that summer heat a few years back. Thankfully i was wet sanding with a hose running constantly so that helped keep me cool! Drink plenty of water Dont wanna be pushing kidney stones out at WCSS6!
  20. That should do it mostly. Dont forget the coil wires too with that silicone
  21. How much water and condensation is up in that head light? Those bulb sockets are wide open electrical connections. A lot of times water gets built up in there and can short out the bulb socket. Typical fix is to just replace the headlamp assembly with one that has a good seal and no water gets in
  22. I highly doubt it would lock up all 4 tires. What it would more likely do is apply pressure to all 4 and enguage them but not lock them up. It takes A LOT of pressure to LOCK those things up at speeds over 30 mph. When you see ppl lock up their wheels it is usually just the front or the rear ones. Splitting up what little pressure that small cylinder puts out amoung all 4 brake cylinders would give you a pretty whimpy E brake. Now hitting your brake pedal AND grabbing that e-brake... it would be like slaming the pedal and having an extra brake booster. Then I bet you'd be locking up and roasting some tires. I know you said the holes dont line up in the backing palte for the bigger front calipers. What about Arch's idea of drilling new holes and spacing as necessary ?
  23. I've delt with Jason at 1st Subaru. Great service and recieved my part promptly. Even had it wrapped up in japaneese newspapter which I had a blast looking through.
