I have a 1998 forester s model 5 speed,lifting rear of car off the ground,both wheels turn in same direction.

1998-2002 s model forester,I don't know about others.

People in my neck of salt belt brush on used mother oil.

My 98 was cured with a flushing,the fluid was black.

Is this possible?

I have not tryed it yet,but I think coolant temp readings and fuel trem..

First thing I would do is change PVC valve with real subaru part Maybe others will chime in here,also maybe a leak down test.

I bought this complet kit for my wifes 98 forester one year ago. first the cam seal pop out after 50 miles,then with in 1000 miles the timing belt jumped twice,valve covers leak badly thought maybe I didn't use the right sealent, I would go with the gates kit.also grease was leaking out tensioner bearing.
