And i didnt really see a brake inspection. -
1 GALLON! I think you may get the award for most overfilled. NOrmally i would say no, but i've never seen one so over filled and be driveable. Usually it screws up the shifting. I think you would be ok, as Auto Trannies die slow deaths and will give you warnings. If your not slipping when the car shifts your fine. nipper

I guess i got my answer. Yes. They arent made to last forever, even subaru recomends replacing them after 105,000 miles on the 2.5, and i recomend it every other timing belt change on the 60,000 mile interval. They usually fail relativly quickly after a t-belt change, as they dont like being disturbed as they get older (who does). Miss rough stalling after running perfectly fine is typical timing belt junp sympton. Especially after being shut off and running fine. nipper

Interesting .. subaru 360 going through a Japanese insepction. -
Except for the most part where they fly tend to be a lot colder then surface temps. I've seen painted corvair blocks, vegas, and VW blocks. Engines used to be apinted to protect them from rust. Its not really needed on aluminum engines. nipper

Well its not that hard. For the CPS you need an analog volt meter. As the engine cranks, the needle will pulse. It wil make an AC signal. Check your cam position sensor too. The CTS is a thermistor. The colder it is the higher the resistance. Also check the reference voltage at the harness, it should be 5 volrs with the key on. nipper

FINALLY After a month i ran the scan gauge for the heck of it, saw the car was staying in closed loop much longer, scanned the codes, and finally got a reset. Now for some odd reason, when i take my foot off the gas pedal, for a second or so the car will go open loop then back to closed loop, so i may still have an issue. It's not flipping back and forth constintly like it was. I will warch to see what my next tank of gas does to see if my mileage came up or not. nipper

My cat doesnt rattle. In all my years ive never seen a O2 sensor respond INSTANTLY to throttle by going closed/open loop, hence the damage theory. Also it got tripped over bad road which leads me to belive its a physical fault, not to mention it refuses to reset. Also the 30% drop in gas mileage. nipper

i was thinking about this, as the weather hasnt allowed me to get under the car. i am thinking its just what you said, the heater is damaged. Thats the only thing i can think of with instant open/closed loop response. My gas mileag is crap, so thats telling me its not the cat. Also if it was a cat i wouldnt get instant closed/open loop response whaen teh car is cold at 15 degrees. I see that OE o2 sensor for blu is on sale at less then 100 bucks. i think i am going to order it on blind faith and my best guesstimate. nipper

I finished my Twin Stick Mod!

Oh OK When i had my 87 i used to use 4wd low in stop and go traffic all the time (really saved my clucth leg as the car would crawl). Wish i had thought about the 2wd low then. nipper -
Could be a few things. Since its a 2.2 we will rule out a HG for now. Sis you have the proper freezing protection in the coolant? There have been a few posts on the lists the last week or so with people who got caught off guard by the super bitter cold. When was the last time the water pump was replaced? Freeze out plug? Leaking hose. I would suspect a leaking waterpump. nipper
