  2. any refercen to fuel trim or A/F ratio is the O2 sensor(s). Front sensor should be OE Attack that first. Also if it hasnt been done, a tune up wouldnt hurt either. nipper
  3. PS do NOT get one from an autoparts store. Check the online OE suppliers first, They usually have them on sale, and even if they are a bit more money, its done once with the right part. Too many places think an imprezza and legacy alt is the same, and sell you the much more expensive imprezza alt, and it will never charge the car right. been there done that. nipper
  4. Altenator. Never just go pulling fuses for tha sake of pulling fuses. Have your wife drive to an autparts store and let them check the charging system. Or if your neighbor can do it, have him check it out in the driveway. nipper
  5. Its not that no one knows how too, its just that it is expensive and labor intensive. Sounds like you need new synchros. nipper
  6. no But now that you know where it is, replace it. People never do, and they do need replacement once in a decade or so

  8. Check your axle boots and the engine for oil leaks. Also check the FI hoses under the hood, for some reason in this year thats a popular place to get what you describe. nipper

  12. Toyo has no desire to won subaru, they just need the extra capacity to make cars. SUbaru is a small mfg and needs someone elses expertise on emissions and hybrid technology to keep up. They always had an option to increase their ownership level. And its Fuji Heavy industries "HONG KONG (MarketWatch) -- Toyota Motor Corp. (JP:7203: will almost double its stake in Subaru-vehicle maker Fuji Heavy Industries by purchasing about 30 billion yen ($294.7 million) in stock, according to a Japanese media report Wednesday. The share purchase will see Toyota will lift its stake in the mini-vehicle maker to 17% from 8.7%, the business daily Nikkei reported, without identifying its source. Fuji Heavy is likely to report its second consecutive double-digit loss for the fiscal year ended March 31, owing to slumping mini-car sales and high development costs" and "Reuters reports the plan to increase Toyota's ownership in Fuji Heavy Industries could be the latest alliance within an industry that is seeing lower sales volume in the United States. "Toyota wants to mitigate the risk of building new plants by utilizing Fuji Heavy's facilities both in Japan and the United States," Seiji Sugiura, an analyst with HSBC Securities in Tokyo, told Reuters. "Other automakers would also want to reduce risks for each other by boosting ties, even if that wouldn't amount to mergers and acquisitions." Toyota is generally cautious about taking over companies. It took three decades to make Daihatsu Motor Co., which makes small cars, and Japanese truckmaker Hino Motors Ltd. its subsidiaries since an initial partnership. Toyota also holds a 5.9 percent stake in truckmaker Isuzu Motors Ltd. Under the current alliance, Daihatsu makes the Justy compact car that Fuji sells in Europe."

  14. Blu threw a rod (odd how the picture of the white one looks exactly like Blu) at 191,000 miles. I bought him at 181,000 miles. The previous owner believed in once a year oil changes "because it was all highway miles". Blu went from being silent to knock to throwing a rod in about 1200 miles. nipper
  15. Its the handle itself. It costs all of 22.00ish to replace all the hardware and fix it properly. You need a new handle and license plate light assembly and new bolts.. This is a common thing, as all the road salt acumulates up there and makes it so the mechanisim doesnt fully operate. nipper
  16. By a box of fuses. Remove all the bulbs, replace the fuse, and turn on the switch. If you can get that far start replacing the bulbs till the fuse blows. That will give you a starting point. nipper
  17. You have plugged into the light circuit for the radio power. I dont know if the 90 has a simple rheostat or a lighting module. If its a module you have fried it. nipper
