  1. What suby is gonna get the parts? Are there gonna be any extra parts for sale? What happened to the TWB roofrack? All good things must end sometime.
  2. I use cherry bomb exhaust, but that's for a more deep offroad sound. If you want a deep rally sound go with a magna flow exhaust. My friend just got a magna flow on his saab 900 and it sounds awesome.
  3. Because I don't think they've had to do this before.
  4. Thanks you sooo much. Do you have any pics of the drums drilled out?
  5. I know how to drill the holes and where, but on the back of the hub where you put the new lugs it's not flat. Do you have to machine it flat? Or does it matter if the new lugs hangover a little. Then do you have to weld the back of the lugs into place? Or will they hold in there. My machine shop is just worried about safety. So they don't want to do it until they know exactly what to do.
  6. I have been riding my bike to work now for three weeks because no one in town knows how to do a six lug swap on EA81 wagon hubs. I really need help on this one. I got my tires mounted on my toyota rims and all I need is to get my six lug swap done. I'm so close to suby offroadness I can taste it. I really need some pics of disc hubs and drum hubs with the swap done on them or a write up on how to do it. So I can tell my offroad shop how to do it. Thanks
  7. Happy Birthday man. I'm sure we will meet again and we we do I'll take you offroading montana style.
  8. What is spotfacing? I called the machine shop and told him that spotfacing would be the best way, but he doesn't know what that means. Neither do I.
  9. Is there a write up or a page that explains exactly how to put in the other four studs on the subaru hubs. The place that I took my hubs to can't figure out how to place the studs in the hubs and still have the back of the hubs be flush and flat. Thanks
  10. That souds like a tough call to me. If you have the money and the time I would say get the hatch. Plus the hatches are cooler than the wagons. If you don't have much money or time I'd say keep the poopenvagen. Whatever you decide good luck.

  15. I got my new mud tires in today and got them mounted on my chrome yota rims. I just need lug swap, alignment, fix broken axle/cv joint, and fix stripped lift block bolt then I'll be ready to brawl.
  16. Welcome to the subaru community. There are multiple lift kits out there to buy. I have the 3in lift from. http://www.ozified.com/ You could also get a 4in lift from http://alliedarmament.homestead.com/index.html Or you could with. http://www.funonwheels.net/hirisesubaru/pages/home.htm Or Or you could http://oregonoffroadsubaruclub.org/ Also If you want bigger tires and rims your gonna have to get a six lug swap done on your hubs so you can get toyota rims. Two of the subaru four lugs are allready lined up for a toyota six lug. Check out the offroad FAQ thread here. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=24980

    Mudding tire PSI?

I never thought of using chalk. That's a good idea.
  20. I got in my 215/75/15 Hankook MT RT01 tires today. They say 50 psi on them but I have a light wagon so what psi should I have them at?
