By the time you get your tranny fixed I might have my lift in.
-
Very nice. Now it just needs a 5sp D/R tranny.
-
Awesome. You better have atleast a dual weber for pushin them tires.

I had the same thing happen to a friend of mine that had a 1988 GL. He just had a little too much oversteer and he tapped the brakes by accident. Sending him 180 degrees in the air into the ditch. Luckilly it was totally fine besides a little dent. Picture. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=3729&sort=1&cat=500&page=1 But I see how your situation is much different. Your car was ridiculously nice. I'm sorry it had to go. I always liked the saying "Everything happens for a reason." Maybe something even better will come along.

how much does he want for it?

Optima batteries are worth every penny. It has saved me multiple times. It is also cool to be able to have your sound system run for hours on end. You could leave your lights on for days, and it wouldn't kill the battery. If the bettery dies somehow just let it sit for half hour and it'll be almost fully charged. And in the winter it helps your car start soooooo much. I love Optimas.

I told ya it needs to be thicker. It does look good, but I'll wait to get the stronger one or make one myself. Headlight protection? On a side note. Roof Racks would be easy to make and everyone wants one of those.

Awesome. Some day I'm gonna have a WRX.

Deepest water for a stock soobie
A DOG replied to Beavis's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I've had my fair share of deep water crossings. Don't go to fast because you'll make water shoot up into the engine bay. Take it nice and easy, but you need a certain amount of speed to keep the suby chuggin. I went through a water crossing a week ago that was really deep. Water came over the hood, wet floorboards, wet disty, hydrolocked carb. It took some dryin out, but it runs good now. It is amazing how subarus can swim. I'm scared that when I get my big tires they'll have a lot more air mass therefor making the subaru float even easier. I don't want to be floating while I'm trying to cross some water. Then again the mass amount of wait in the back of my wagon should weigh it down.(subs and recovery gear.) This is deep enough to be a little scared. -
My new to me XT6 is alive!! OMG (Pic added)

Cool Beans! some mudin tires would make it look quite proper. -

With all that turbo you might blow yourself up. But if it does work. :burnout: :burnout: -
After you get your lift you should save up and get mudrats front and rear LSD.
-
Did you have to trim the front and back of fender? front and rear wheels?
-
I'm gonna get a 3in lift for my EA81 wagon. Can I fit 215/75/15 without any trimming or minimal, and if so could I fit 225/75/15. I want the wide tires. Also I can't find any 215/70/15 offroad tires. I'm thinking of getting these.http://www.wholesaletireoutlet.com/wto/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=&products_id=126&osCsid=eb56e3fd3e41e98c680dc332aafc1cb7

Its not mine, but I'm gonna do something just like it eventually.

Weight is an issue, but you could probably put around 50lbs and it wouldn't hurt. And 50lbs is a lot of bumper.
-
When you do start making the brushgaurds keep in mind that you want to help the approach angle not destroy it. I've seen quite a bit of subies with brushgaurds that kill the approach angle.

-Definately lower gear ratios. -bull bars, bumpers and roof racks . (everyone wants one or two of these.) I need one of each. -Heavy duty Skidplates -spare tire carryer for back gate. -Fender Flares -Cup holders for all model subarus. I need one soooooo bad.
-
Something like this would help.
-
Those are the exact tire I'm loking at getting. Here's a link to them but they're cheaper.http://www.wholesaletireoutlet.com/wto/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=&products_id=126&osCsid=eb56e3fd3e41e98c680dc332aafc1cb7
