  1. Nope I bought it allready solid axled. it costed me 2K for the truck with no bumpers or tires wheels.
  2. I made the switch last July. I love having solid axles.
  3. Put it for sale on ebay and you could get around $3000 maybe more. brats go for a lot these days and that one is in really good condition.
  4. yep and these snow drifts stay around til mid june. Lots of fun. I climbed on them last year with my lifted suby it was a blast. But you need wide tires for snow drifts.
  5. We went to do some spring wheelin. All pics all taken on land that we know the owner. First we had to stop at a friends house and help them finish a yota. So here a little yota line up pic. Then off we were. at the trail head. Then we got a ways up the trail then at the first hill climb the gray yota blew the clutch so we had to leave it and continue on. Heres the first spot we stopped to smoke and shoot some guns. had a fun mud and rock climb. Sexy pose! Then we found a sweet creek with some rocks in it so we dropped in. My passenger side dropped off the rock and I used my rock sliders for the first time!yay. I also got stuck. Damn open diffs. 4.88s and detroits are next. Because of were barnaby hooked up the tow rope it tor my bumper off a little. I have it on video but its gonna be a few days til I can upload videos of this trip. Its hard to tell but it did bend forward a bit. Then we went down the trail to find some snow drifts. And here it is. Snow drift land. this group of trees holds in these snow drifts every year til mid june. Lots of fun. Like driving on mars Turbo yota going for it! In this pic you can see how tall this drift was. the ground is at the bottom of the pic. About 15ft tall. The hotties are just drawn to my truck.:fawkdancesmiley: We climbed all around these drifts for a while. I have it on video but you'll have to wait. Good thing i didn't turn right when I got up here. Big drop! Turbo yota trying the vert hill. Barnaby basically jumped his truck up this vert climb to the top! I let barnaby drive my 4runner out of the drift land so I could get some pics. One more before we left barnaby just had to play around on these drifts a little.
  6. Great posting man! I love looking at the hatch patrol pics. You guys really did inspire me to lift my old mountain patrol. I give you guys mad props for the leaps in subaru offroad history. The true originators of subaru offroad. I still miss my mountain patrol. Keep on rockin.
  7. Lookin really good! I love the wrx rims on a lifted brat, don't see that much. Camo paint job and some armor and that's things good to go. Lets see some wheelin pics.
  8. Very nice indeed! I like the old school subaru badge on the back of your imp. That thing is looking really nice. Turbo the engine then go to the mud drags.
  9. 1990 Legacy wagon LS K&N Air filter Naxos Muffler Plans: EJ22T swap 04 wrx suspension swap Legacy GT rims Anything to make it as fast as an sti I need to get some new pics Its gonna look really nice with GT rims.
  10. Pictures never do justice. The whole in the stream was really deep. Also since his suspension is so flexy and there is no limiting straps or anything, the suspension kinda let it happen. If theres no stop for the suspension flex it'll just tip over.
  11. We went on an awesome snow wheelin trip today. Had the first flop of the year and my first de beaded tire.:redneck: It was great fun! Got a lot of awesome pics so enjoy. We got to the first trailhead and it was closed. So we went to a mountain pass that's guaranteed to have snow. Stopping to let andys cow toyota cool down. 350 toyota with snow on the radiator. The first obstacle a river with snow crossing. we know the owner of this land so ha! Spinning the tires hard. Blue toyota having fun. Andy flopped his yota going to high on the wall. Blue yota getting good air. 4runner spinnin the tires in the snow. and got stuck in the wet heavy snow. 4runner snow bustin toyotas rule the snow I need beadlocks. It took forever to get the tire seated because we had a wussy compressor and no starting fluid. At the last snow drift crossing i got stuck major in really deep heavy snow. broke my tow rope also. it was a great day. I learned I need internal beadlocks and a nice air compressor. Heres videos: 4runner snow and water crossing flopped toyota cow toyota snow bustin blue toyota steep drop in blue yota mud climb
  12. OMG!! People when your coming into a corner don't let off the gas and stay off it. Let off if then get right back on it, and half of those people wouldn't have crashed. Let off gas=light rear end= no rear traction. Don't they let the drivers go through the course once before the race to get a feel for the course?
  13. This is my custom exhaust on my old EA81 mountain patrol. Got much better flow and power! It was also about $250. But worth it.
  14. So does anybody know what rear differential ratio a 1996 legacy wagon brighton edition has?
  15. I put one of these on my xt6 a while ago and it helped very minimal. Didn't see any better mpg, but gave better throttle response. Basically worthless. You could make your own one of these chips for cheaper.
  16. So we went out to the legacy today and started ripping parts off. I looked at the rear differential and there wasn't a sticker saying what kind of ratio it has. So does anybody know what a 1996 legacy wagon brighton edition has for a rear differential ratio? There was a star on the rear differential though. Like in the metal not a sticker. Thanks
  17. I am just going through my head wondering how much of a *************** its gonna be to put a ej22t into my 1990 legacy wagon. I know legacy777 has done it so maybe he knows, but I need a list off all the things needed for the swap. A lot of work I know, but It seems like you need a lot of random things that I have no idea about. I know i need all the censors and wiring and crap that goes with the engine. But will i need to make a custom drive shaft because of the different transmission? I just need to know basically everything about the engine swap and all the parts to see how much its gonna be, and if I can even do it. I really want to turn my wagon into a beast, but it seems like it gonna cost a LOT!!!! Considering I can't do it. Don't know enough about cars nor do I have a garage or shop I can do it in. So I really need to know what all goes into the swap so I can see if and when I will be able to do it. thanks a lot.
  18. subarus take a likin and keep on tickin!!!
  19. Heres a video of my 2in exhaust to speedrex muffler on my ea81 wagon. Hey its a 1.8. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=11084&cat=642 I loved how that thing sounded. They sound deeper and more like a wrx with a cherrybomb muffler.
  20. So I'll just grab the differential off the 1997 legacy too. Thanks a lot guys. I can't wait to have 2nd gear again.
  21. I am in utter anticipation for this one. I'm gonna be making a subaru movie too, but it will be another year or so. Still have lots of footage to get.
