  1. Thats some great terrain for a baja. Looks like you ran into some mud, but not much. Might want to go back there when it rains for some real mud. Also what kind of tires are you running? Log trails are where its at.
  2. I uploaded a video/sound bit of my new exhaust. I love how it sounds. Has anyone else actually done this to their suby. I have never seen it before. It does sound a little clanky, but thats a suby. It did free up some horsepower now that I don't have a cat. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=11084&cat=642
  3. http://sites.rapidus.net/labrecqj/justywrx/english.html This link goes to a Justy with a 2.0 turbo in it. has good pics and videos
  4. looks like a Cyborg Subaru with the little blue lights next to the headlights. That thing is sweet. Keep on rallying it!
  5. That is a pretty crazy river crossing for a stock GL. I wonder what that two door lifted thing is? REALLY big pic here: http://album.peturs.net/albums/album33/bf_subaru_stuck_c.jpg

    I'm IN!!!

Congratulations man! That looks like that club does some pretty hardcore trails. I look forward to trail ride pics.
  7. That sounds great. Once I have an established friend in WA I can come down there for some brawling expeditions with the washington subaru crew.

    It's done! w00t!

Once you get those tow hooks hacked off and put a skidplate under there you will have a nice approach angle. Keep up the good modding.
  9. For sure man! Just give me a call or PM me when your gonna leave. Why are you heading through montana? Moving back to WAshington?

    redneck?

I've spent around $3500 dollars on my $850 dollar wagon. I couldn't be happier. Plus when I sell it I'll have a huge list of mods that will help me get something back out of it. Having a unique and Awesome vehicle is worth any price.
  11. I got my wagon back from the Exhaust shop today. I had them take the cat out of the Y pipe and the resonator out and put a 2in pipe all the way back to a Speedrex muffler. My wagon sounds sooooo burly now. It sounds like a mini WRX. I'll upload a sound/video clip tomorrow. Check the pics: All together the whole exhaust work costs me 250 bucks, but since my birthday is on the 21st I got my Dad to pay for it. SCORE!!!!!!! Heres the Weber pics: PORTED!!!!!! I just had to spend the extra money to port out my manifold. I still have more to do, but here she is as of right now. Pirate flag and all.
  12. Heres and update video of my lifted wagon. I have lots more power with the weber on there. As you can see. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=10980&limit=last1
  13. Yes those rims are sweeeet! I can't even imagine an EA81 sedan rockin those rims.
  14. Happy birthday Tex. I'll come to your party wearing this shirt. Ha HA AH AHA HA HA HA HA H AH AH AH HA just kidding. May many more years come to you and yours.
  15. Well summer is right around the corner and I finally got around to doing some upgrades on the Mountain Patrol wagon. I finally got my Weber carb installed. WOW what a difference. Now I see why all the lifted subies have webers they rock! When I got my weber installed I was contemplating putting an EA82 intake manifold on there just for the better air flow, but I decided to just have my EA81 manifold ported! I also slaughtered my clutch last year brawling. So I had to get a new one. So I just got a replacement one, works fine so far. I also got an Accell coil for better spark. In the next few weeks my wagon is going to get better and better. Right now its being worked on with something special that I don't think anyone else here has done to a lifted EA81. I did get rid of my bumpin stereo system in the wagon. Mainly because the subs were taking up to much room in the back and I want to sleep in my suby sometimes. There is still many more mods to come. All of you will have to wait til tomorrow for pics, but I did upload a short video of some brawling since I got my weber installed. Hear that baby roar! Link: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=10980&limit=last1 That snow crossing was sick. I doesn't look to deep but it was deep. My friends burly Nissan 4x4 Hardbody barely made it. The second pass I got stuck nice and good. That's why you always bring two 4x4s, to unstuck eachother. BYW: Anybody notice my Pirate flag on my CB radio antenea?
  16. Thanks a lot. Also will the new front struts make my camber even worse? Will removing the front sway bar help my camber? Maybe 1/2in wheel spacers would help the camber?
  17. I'm replacing my shocks on my EA81 lifted wagon. I was wondering If I need this strut mount kit or do the replacement struts bolt on to the 3in BYB lift mount. http://www.ajusa.com/cgi-bin/kyb/details?part_num=SM5365&products=1&part_category=KYB%20Strut%20Mount%20Kit&specific_fit=1981%20SUBARU%20GL%20H4%201.8L&session_id=00bdc4bb42a0f978a1dd12a4eedfab8b Thanks
  18. I love the way the 1981 wagons looked. That's why I pimped mine out.
  19. Any new update on this topic? If I can't make it this year I want to buy all the WCSS8 schwag I can.
  20. Looking very nice! I love the rear tire carrier and rollbar. A supercharged brumby would probably mud really good.
  21. I do love the shift on the fly 4lo. My favorite feature would be that its a grocery wagon that you can sleep in, move a house with, camp in, and go mudding in. Its the most adaptable and usefull car on the road. Also good gas milage, and its a small car not a huge ford Excursion dinosaur. And last but definately not least they RALLY. I have never seen another family 4wd wagon that can handle and rally like a subaru. Not even a 4wd toyota tercel wagon can rally as hard as an EA82. Thank You Japan.
  22. Thanks for the info so far. I don't have power steering so that aint a problem. I did read that if you mount an EA82 manifold it hits the distributor. If so what can I do to prevent this?
  23. I am gonna bring my wagon into the shop on thursday to get the weber put on and a few other things done. I've seen pics of the EA82 intake manifold and the hole is much bigger than the EA81 manifold. I have heard of people swapping them on but whats the proccess. Exactly which EA82 manifold will work on an EA81? The earlier carbed wagons or the pushrod motor? Maybe a specific year? Also are the EA82 manifold gaskets the same as EA81? Basically I need to know the order of parts. From the EA82 intake manifold to weber. Yes I did lots of searching and found info on webers, but not on swapping on an EA82 intake manifold and which gaskets are needed. So any help is much appriciated. Im doing this at my suby mechanics so he will have all the gaskets and what not, I just don't know EXACTLY what parts go on and in what order?
  24. Good idea. Heres some links to my videos. http://www.pixparty.com/adog/index.asp Heres a link to all my google videos.: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4023138952178405606&q=subaru+teaser&pl=true O there will be more videos to come this summer.
  25. I actually do want to move to WA sometime in the next few years. The main problem is having a job allready line up when I get there. What kind of jobs are around you?
