  1. the lever that the vacuum actuator is attached to..is it pulled foward or pushed back to activate the diff lock?
  2. venturi needs to be mounted in front of the throttle body not behind/downstream of it. i've seen conversions done on injected motor and most of them left all the FI gear inplace just disconecting the electrics and fuel pump and replaceing the disty with one that is stand alone(carburetor type). there are also thing called emulators used on LPG conversions in europe that plug into the back of the injectors and in turn have the injector power wire plugged into the back of them....and what they do when they're switched on is tell the ECU that injector is working while at the same time not allowing power through to the injector...so when your running on LPG the ecu don't know about it
  3. if you are going to make your own carb like i did don't be tempted to try making a 'bigger carb' if your venturi is too big your low end isn't going to exist im running a 37mm venturi and its fine i was running a 46mm venturi and it would bog (and stall if i didn't stomp on the clutch) just off idle
  4. im using a self made carb that i made out of a ea82t throttle body with a LPG mixer venturi mounted ontop. google WPS LPG and go to the WPS site this guy has a really good writeup....a bit old but still pretty good
  5. stock brat/brumby tank is 50ltr my 70 liters of lpg capacity give me exactly the same range..about 500km just keep in mind when sorcing a LPG tank that when full an LPG tank must have a 20% capacity reserve in the tank I.E a 100liter tank will only hold 80liters....the extra room allows for lpg to expand if it warms up so that if you fill your tank at night (cooler/cold) then let it sit with a full tank in the sun it won't hydraulic the tank
  6. don't know...i'll ask next time im past the subaru treasure cave JUST one thing though....whats the idea of trying to nick all our good stuff?....hmmm??????
  7. last time i price a LSD it was around $150....but that was couple of years ago
  8. as my login name implies im on LPG and have been for quite awhile now and i wouldn't got back to petrol unless there was a massive price difference in favor of petrol. LPG has bonus's that i like like the fact that i don't need a choke...and i can and am running 25deg+ spark advance(i don't know what im running, the timing marks stop at 20deg, i've got my dizzy as far foward as it will go without turning it a tooth) Oil change intervals are good as well.... 25'000km and it comes out only a tad darker than it goes in and LPG is cheaper here $0.86 per liter as against $1.71 per liter for 91 petrol (lowest grade here) Even with the extra fuel usage due to lower BTU content LPG costs the same as if petrol was $1.05 per liter when you workout $$$ per 100km
  9. i know this is an old thread but i ran into exactly the same problem that Shawn did. i got round the problem by clamping the swaybar down to the steel bench and heating each side of the offending hump and bending it down flat with the aid of a hooligin bar (minime sized crowbar), so instead of the hump going up, now it goes back. got it retempered at a spring makers...so it should all be good from here on
  10. wheels i would imagine...i looked a getting a set of 4 to 6 stud adapters but i figger drilling a 6 stud wheel would be cheaper
  11. does your reg have a small hose going to it that comes from manifold vaccuum i.e under the throttle body? cos if it doesn't and only has a wire from the gas safety relay its electronic, nearly all the lovato regulators i've seen are electronic
  12. hey matt, is your reg' an electric one? my'n is, so im getting a adjustable vacuum switch so it will turn off under decel....should save some fuel going down all the hills here
  13. theres a couple of outfits in england doing motorcycle engine conversion's and conversion kits on the old style (real!!) mini's so it can be done
  14. only need a tower brace if your cornering hard no brace = less weight for going fast in a straight line
  15. they got delivered this morning:banana: they are really nice and clean they fit on my FT4wd d/r splines:clap:...now i just need a ea81 axle im not using every day to try them on
  16. i've got about 10'000 miles on the one thats in there now..................
  17. easy to make your own, im running a self made gasketpaper gasket on my ea81 running a ea82t throttle body/LPG mixer setup on an adapter
  18. Its official.....im a RETARD!!!! i was in such a rush to to post the cheque to get my DOJ's that i forgot to.........(drum roll) put the address of the outfit i was sending it to . fortunatly all my enverlopes have my return address stamped on the back guess im just brain:dead: so my DOJ's won't be here till next week sometime:mad:
  19. both 23 and 25 spline ea82 doj's i pulled apart the other day where fitted to 25 spline axle shafts
  20. unburnt fuel is not cool...it sounds like the choke isn't coming off how old is the airfilter, as my ute started chewing fuel and getting gutless....i thought it was a carb problem till i thought about all the gravel roads i'd been driving on....new air filter and i had my ute back doing things like it should
  21. my'ns got a sticker on the side of the distributor body thats got model numbers and stuff like that on it
