  1. Russ, maybe I'll try to find a day to drive down there. PM me with your addy so I can see how far of a drive it is. I put my cone filter on today, and i can notice an increase in acceleration, it seems to climb above 4k alot easier. I inspected the connection for the TPS, and everything looked good. I think i'll try to clean it, or order a new one. -Brian

  3. I got some major hesitation. My car seems to not respond to the throttle as it did before. ALso my idle has become very erratic, and if I accelerate from a stop the car kinda bogs until the throttle is pushed past 1/2way, then it kicks into action and takes off. I thought maybe the TPS could be out of whack, was going to adjust it a tad and try to troubleshoot the problem. -Brian
  4. I heard this thing is located on the throttlebody of my EA82T. I looked around, but couldnt find it. Didnt have alot of time, and the engine was hot so i couldnt look too closely. I was thinking about adjusting mine, but still not sure what to do here. How will I know when the adjustment is right? -Brian
  5. The RX has some things you'll never find on a GL like Dual Range AWD with locking center diff Thats probably the best thing about the car, the rest is just like any other GL10. I believe the seats are unique as well, and every RX has a rear limited slip, some GL10's will if they were ordered with them as an option. They also have the body kit that no GL has. -brian

  7. The legacy image is a photoshopped version, its been proven in the past. That EA81 Wagon looks SWEET! Wonder what he has powering it, cuase i know a tired EA81 wouldn't have much power to turn those big tires... even on snow. -Brian
  8. I dunno either, the stereo was too loud to hear any knocking. I did turn it down to listen for engine noise, but i couldnt hear anything. I was also traveling at 80+ and my exhaust is pretty loud at that stage. I guess I'll check for codes and try to track it down. Im thinking my TPS might need some adjusting. -Brian
  9. A few new forums wouldnt hurt, but we need to make sure they are going to be used and not just cluttering the board. Too many forums, and it becomes too hard to find information or just too hard to keep up. A Classic Subaru forum would be nice, for 360's, FF1's, GF's and EA71's. I would also like to see another off-topic forum for images and pictures. But thats already been discussed before in another thread. The Retrofit and Modification forums could be combined IMO. -Brian
  10. 50 is no better on a sunday, and probably worse, since its a direct route from Tahoe to Sacramento (whereas i80 is more reno). And trying to get from 50 to my house is another 40min drive, whereas I live right off of I80 -Brian
  11. No, took 3 hours to get home. I thought the flow of cars would be bad, comming back I80 on a sunday... but I never knew it would be THAT bad. Came to a complete stop a couple times, and spent about 2 hours with 3000 other cars traveling at 20-45mph, then 15-0mph and back and forth. I'll go check it out Wednesday. -Brian
  12. I dont think your fans are controlled by your ECU. Im not sure why they wouldnt either, maybe there's a relay somewhere. Good thing I had my crimpers was a simple fix. -Brian

  14. I drove my RX from Sacramento to Reno this morning and i noticed my CEL was on. It only came on at high altitude through the pass, and as soon as I let my foot of the gas it would go out. I started paying attention to the activity and i noticed the CEL would come on if I was boosting for a prolonged amount of time. Usually long uphill stretches, and as soon as I let off the gas (had to get off the gas, not just get off boost) the CEL would go out. I havent checked for any codes, but ive also noticed the car hesitates if I try to cruise and keep intake pressure at 0psi the car hesitates alot. It only runs smooth when its under boost. -Brian
  15. Yeah, my rear disc's stop my 205/75R15's alot better than the drums ever could. And disc's are easier to clean after a mud bath -Brian
  16. WOOHOO!!! That video is sweet. Was alot more fun from inside the car. Without my LSD i would have been screwed. The RX did better than I thought, only problem is no low-end grunt. But the MPFI sure does beat Carburated Im uploading my pix now, soon to come. -Brian
  17. I'll probably leave here around 9am. Grab alittle breakfast on the way out and be in Reno by 11. I'll call you guys when im in reno, and we'll catch up. The map looks easy. Just hit 395 south toward Carson, and get off on 428. From there its just a matter of looking for the right exit. -Brian

  23. i asked my boss today if I could get Sunday off. he said "if we're slow" I wont know for sure until i get off tonight, but if it keeps raining we'll be slow for sure. -Brian
  24. Yeah, my EA82T Thread (teh suck) has it in it. I had to search and couldnt find it, so i just asked. Someone told me the Old Nissan Sentra adapters work. I found one for $9.99 on ebay with a filter and purchased it. Should have it by monday. -Brian
