  1. I have a lead on a '86 DL for sale Mick The owner could be mistaken, but thats what its listed as. -Brian
  2. There are a few Auto N/A brats, but not many. -Brian
  3. If you bore out the throttlebody, dont you need to replace the butterfly valve to take up the extra space? -Brian
  4. Why are we all dependant on Eric for footage? THere are enough Lifted Subarus around here that we should have 100 DVDs and VHS tapes. I have about 4+ hours of footage from my own wagon. But just as Eric has said, the time and effort involved doesnt weigh out. Thats time I could spend wrenchin on my Sube's. -Brian
  5. Good to see you back KP. Dont let any of the guys here get you down. -Brian
  6. Actually, Brats never came in 2WD. All brats are 4WD. If your Brat is Turbo, then it has a 3spd pushbutton 4WD Auto in it. Chances are, the motor has cracked heads. The majority of all remaining Turbo Brats have that problem, they overheat once and the heads crack. The good news is that car is a pretty rare car and if restored will hold alittle more value than a non-turbo Brat. The bad news is finding new heads for a EA81T is extremly difficult. -Brian
  7. Im sure if you sent one to Mudrat, he could make more for everyone else. Glad to see the swap, and the answers about the 12mm difference also make it sound pretty straightforward. I was thinking of putting a EJ22 into my RX. I'll need to do more research, anyone know if the engine crossmembers on EA81's and EA82's are the same? -Brian
  8. Looks alot better than when we went wheeling in it. He might have removed the digi dash, but hey... he added a 8" lift and tires -Brian
  9. Yeah... uh....kidding... thats it I probably wont ever do it, but had to do the photoshop to ease my curiosity. But My next off-road rig will have that tir/rim combo. -Brian
  10. After seeing Rob's new addition last night, it must have sparked something Had a dream about another off-road rig... what do you guys think? ) -Brian
  11. Goto the junkyard and find a EA81 with a 2BBL hitachi. Then take its intake manifold. Then order a Weber DGEV 32/36 with an adapter for a EA81 Subaru. Bolt everything to the intake and swap your intake manifolds. -Brian
  12. Just make the images smaller and you should be able to fit all 4 no problem -Brian
  13. Does this mean your signature is going to get even wider? Not sure if my monitor will handle a 1768x1024 resolution ) Great lookin rig, no doubt that thing will follow the HP everywhere they go. -Brian
  14. Naw, havent paid any attention to the rear CV. Its the inner boot and the CV will probably last years without it. The fronts need replacing soon, along with the brakes and clutch. Those are top on the list. -Brian
  15. Seriously doubt anything is bent or broken. The car was on rails before the tire swap. I have yet to check the tire pressure, but Im going to. The car is starting to veer to the right when i brake... I found a set of XT struts, im not going to mess with my rear struts but Im planning on keeping the RX springs. -Brian
  16. In snow, binding should be almost non-existant. Even with miss-matched tires. -Brian
  17. Yeah, got the RX a few weeks ago. Thought I told you, guess I didnt I got it in Berkley and was thinking of commin to show you, but wanted to get it home NIce new BMW. We'll have to go head-to-head when both of us are done. -Brian
  18. Same #, and I think i still got you in my phone. Will remain in touch via Email. -Brian
  19. I really should. Chances are the shop who did the tires left one low. My front struts are also getting worn bad. I will have to get some XT struts to replace them with. I'll be working Saturday until 5pm. Sunday until 2pm. I only get one day off a week now until we hire more guys... so trying to do anything soon will be a hassle. Ive been down to SF a few times, and actually pretty close to your pad, was going to call you but figured you were busy. Maybe this wednesday I can make a day trip down there... Gotta switch up on the Junkyards anyhow -Brian
  20. Noticed today that the rear end likes to kick out alittle more (maybe its just me pushing the car harder) but it felt as if the rear was tracking to the right. Ive noticed that the car likes to drift more as well... it will follow the groves in the road more. I suspect its cause the tires are 195's and grippier, but feels as if the steering is spongy, so sometimes I over-correct when I try to pull out of the groves. The RX used to be very nimble with the 13" rims and 185's, i could turn on a dime and it was pin-point accuracy. Now all of that has seemed to change... car is getting alittle sloppy. :-\ Anyone have any idea's how to fix this without going back to ugly 13" steel rims? -Brian
  21. Great stuff, but man those prices are killing me. -Brian
