If he had the front done, im sure we could get a full size pic But im sure Caleb was too lazy to do the front too... huh? Lookin great, i like the clearance between the wheel and fender, but it should look great lowered. -Brian

part time 4wd to full time dual range with diff lock
Almost positive the Center is Open/Locked. Not LSD/Locked. The low range of the RX isnt as low as the standard 5spd D/R tranny. -Brian

Deepest water for a stock soobie
Carry some WD40 to help clean and dry your disty and Cap. Also its nice to have a spare on hand -Brian

part time 4wd to full time dual range with diff lock
Do the RX tranny swap. YOU'LL LOVE IT! I love my RX tranny, that low gear comes in real handy at red lights, uphill and definatly in snow/sand! -Brian

Deepest water for a stock soobie
YEs, it covers a 4 cyl disty cap... just like our EA81's. There's an opening off to the side where all 5 wires come out. I had to cut my rubber boot alittle to clear the vacuum advance, but other than that, it buttoned up just fine and did a GREAT job of keeping water out. As long as you dont completly stop in the water you'll be fine. -Brian

Deepest water for a stock soobie
This wasnt deep enough to kill the car the 1st pass through: But when I tried to get back through If your planning on crossing water, you might want to do something to seal off the distributor cap. Ive tried grease, rubber sealant, and even a yellow rubber dishwashing glove ziptied around all the wires. But nothing has worked as good as the Toyota 22R RUber Disty cap i have -Brian

Mid Engined Subaru??
Awesome. I think you should stick AWD in the Twin Turbo version. -Brian

Mid Engined Subaru??
What are you going to do about the tranny? I think a mid-engined Subaru would be badass. Thats also a good way to encorporate the new grill design. I say go for it, and since there's room back there for 2 turbo's... hrm... -Brian

Lake Tahoe Snow Run.
Well.. what did I say guys? It snowed!! And you know what that means... If things go right, i'd like to take a run up to Kyburz or outside of Tahoe on Thursday the 28th. Maybe even the 21st. Jeremy, JB you guys have Thursdays off right I know Jeremy just got some new snowtires that need to be broken in. -Brian

Frigg! How do I make my aftermarket speakers fit?
Take your speaker and line it up with at least one of the holes, and screw it in place. Then take a marker and mark 3 other holes and prepare to drill. Use a small bit and the screws should fit right in. If the speakers are too deep they might hit the window when it gets rolled down. Check that before you put your side panels back on, cause it sucks when you find out and have to tear everything back out again. -Brian

Is this your brat?
There are other pictures. I havent seen that brat in a while tho. Dunno where the other pix are tho. Definatly a great looking car. -Brian

RX In the snow (pix of course)
We'll need to get together in the mountains then Jeremy, where the snow will be staying for a while. I should have my tires and rims mounted in a week or two. WJM... the rims are just 15" Pug alloys, nothing special. Pix will come when they're mounted. -Brian

RX In the snow (pix of course)
Soon... i promise. Jeremy, how long will that snow be up there? Dave, do you still have alot of snow? I have a couple tripod's here of various heights that i think will help, and another camcorder Just need more cameramen.... -Brian

STI Brat
No brat ever came standard with 5lug. They're still considered Gen2. -Brian

RX In the snow (pix of course)
Felt like being back in Alaska... its been a LOOONG time since i've drifted around corners like that. Next time i'll bring a tripod Also, that rear LSD really kicks the rear end out. I could feel it doing its thing 100% of the time... i loved it!!! I'll be back after I get new tires for sure. -Brian

what tyres for my 14x6 Sunraysia's
Not sure if Cooper has any distributors there in Aus, but you might wnat to look into getting a set of Cooper Discoverer STT's. I have a set in 215/75R14 and they're great! 26.1" in diameter, a real agreesive mud-terrain pattern but still relativly quiet on the road. -Brian

RX In the snow (pix of course)
Was chatting with Jibs and Jeremy (subieman) and they convinced me to drive up to their place to do some playing in the snow. 2 hours later I was there We tried to get Jibs white Brat out of his driveway, but there was a jeep in the way that wouldnt start. So he drove with me. Jeremy and his girlfriend took his Wagon. Fun was had for all Pix: You can view the rest of the images here: http://usmb.net/gallery/album304 I also got my rims from Jibs too, so as soon as I have tires i'll get rid of those 13" steels -Brian

New camera... new pix :)
The camera I got is a Sony DSC-P50. Its a 2.1MegaPixel digital camera. I got it off of ebay for $85, which is good since the MSRP Brand new is $499 and current prices new is $190. It was used of course, and the main reason I wanted to get a sony was cause my PDA is sony, and I already have a 128MB Memory Stick to use. Its cool, cause I can snap a photo, move the stick to my PDA to get a better view and edit the photo if needed. -Brian

New camera... new pix :)
It is a gem of an engine, with ALLLLOT of potential. Im sure in the right hands, it will be a killer car. Just not these hands. Yes im sure, the RX is a much more simple car to work on and modify.... and i get a sence of more accomplishment when I "improve" my RX. What can I say? Im an old skool kinda guy. -Brian

Some international questions
Australia didnt get 3 door coupes, or ER27's. They're XT's are vortex's and all RX's are 4 door sedans. -Brian

Pollock Pines California
I was supposed to go today, but i stayed home cause I didnt want to get stranded up there. Im also getting broke, and payday is another week and a half away. Spending $30 on gas right now doesnt seem as feasable as it did last week. -Brian

New camera... new pix :)
Either that or pay off some bills i have laying around. But who knows... by the time the legacy sells, i'll probably have those bills paid anyway. And I dont like the term "fix up". Lets just call it... "improving" -Brian

EJ-22 into 87 RX
Sure does. -Brian

EJ-22 into 87 RX
Talk with Mudrat in Eugene about getting an adapter made for your tranny. You will want to have a whole new exhaust made up, would be the best way to do it. If your keeping your RX Tranny, the LSD in the RX wont need to be changed. Your RX Tranny is 3.7 whereas a VLSD from a Legacy is 3.9. -Brian
