Reno / Northern Nevada Meet
TheSubaruJunkie replied to Jibs's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
I can be there by 5pm Hehe Other than that i dunno if I can go. I'll talk to some co-workers, sundays are our slowest days and I can probably switch with someone. -Brian -
I cleaned up my battery terminals today. Removed all the grounds and took my dremel and a wire-wheel to every contact. I also re-grounded my windshield wiper motor, and now the wipers work 4x better and my intermittent works again -Brian

EA81 & EA82T plugs...
TheSubaruJunkie replied to TheSubaruJunkie's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
How about at least a gap for the EA82T? -Brian -
are they the same? The auto store didnt have anything listed for NGK's on the RX, so I had him look up an '84 GL and got a set of plugs. Im sure the gap isnt the same... so if someone can tell me what to gap them to. I hope the thread pitch is the same for the plugs. -Brian

I need more footage to fill the entire song. The song is almost 7minutes long. Ive never taken a class on this. Its all come natural. Windows Movie Maker makes it pretty easy to accomplish tasks like this. Ive used alot of other movie editing programs, and this is by far the easiest. -Brian

Optimal Timing for EA82T
TheSubaruJunkie replied to TheSubaruJunkie's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Thats what I'm affraid of. So when I check it, since I know what is stock (thanks Caleb) I will just set it to stock. Then maybe bump it up 2 or 4 degree's to compare. This is all for a EA82T, MPFI. I hadn't even thought of the knock sensor, I'm glad you brought that up. I can see this isnt like tuning my EA81 The EA81 runs best at like 10-12 degree's even tho stock is 7-8. -Brian -
I oughta do that. Wonder if it would make my DIFF LOCK light stop flickering when its off. -Brian

Most of this footage was taken with Austins Digital Camcorder. I believe he's behind the camera as well. -Brian

Super Pro Bushing Listing....HERE!
TheSubaruJunkie replied to WJM's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
How difficult is it to replace these bushings? If you can, get a price for a complete set for my RX. -Brian -
Yeah, dont know why but after uploading it twice via the gallery, it wont work. Im using FTP and its going on the USMB.net server as we speak. -Brian --EDIT-- Its fixed now... URL is: http://www.usmb.net/movies/Eric-Ken-ReitersPit.wmv

Kinda piggyback from my other video thread. This is some of the same footage, but its Eric & Ken. http://www.usmb.net/movies/Eric-Ken-ReitersPit.wmv Its roughly 20megs. Use Windows Media Player and it oughta work. Ken & Austin's footage is next. -Brian

Im going to have to cut ALOT from Bob's run Eric you, being the 1st, took a LONG time. Rob, yes I got footage of you flooring it through there too. Subie94: Me and Jibs are working on putting together a film. We'll have to go get some fresh new footage, but thats the reason im digitizing all my video i have (again)... to prep it for the video. Eric, winXP comes with a program called "movie Maker". Its what im using and its very simple to put together video with the transitional effects. Im working on titles and stuff but its really not that advanced. More to come... -Brian

Optimal Timing for EA82T
TheSubaruJunkie replied to TheSubaruJunkie's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
With a turbocharged car it shouldnt be effected much. I think i'll go bump my current timing up 2 degree's and try it then keep bumping until it pings. -Brian -
Was going to do a tune-up on my RX real soon. What are you performance guys using for the ignition timing? Im not sure what stock timing is, but trying to get alittle more power out of the RX the cheap and easy way. -Brian

Noob to the board
TheSubaruJunkie replied to cblwilson's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Hey there.. Travis AFB, isnt that here in Northern California? -Brian -
I have footage of the rest of the HP going through that as well. If Eric and Ken give me permission, maybe I'll rip them and put them up as well. Ken, without your spotting that day... im sure I would have punctured my oil pan. Was stupid of me to travel without it, but yes.... a lesson learned -Brian
