  1. I think hes talking about the sunken section where the shock sits inside. Where the body is recessed. Makes it a pain in the rump roast to use the horseshoe adapter, reason why i went with the chevelle shocks. -Brian
  2. You mean problems like this: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=61260 I had a problem the rear bushings on my hatch being thicker than my wagons. And as far as the shock mounts, i did away with them and got Gabriels. Autozone has them for $18 a piece, and i like having brand new shocks. These are from a '74 Chevelle and mount up, but are 3" longer than stock so it does away with the shock adapter. Let me know if you want a part number on the shocks. -Brian
  3. Off-road Lifted class is a must Maybe if possible, a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Im okay with a 3rd place certificate or whatever since I know trophy's arent cheap. -Brian
  4. What bump steer are you talking about? PK Davis is starting to make 3.5" lifts for our EA81's... contact him if you want a lift fast. AA isnt making them anymore, and not sure what the turn around for Scotts lifts are. But lifts are out there, and will make it easier to fit larger tires. And a LSD is hard to find, but definatly worth it. Right now, im running my hatch in RWD only, with the LSD and I was able to do some pretty good wheelin last weekend with it. This weekend I'll have my FWD fixed and then its awn!! -Brian
  5. Found them in a junkyard on a '81 GLF Sedan. Nabbed them and put them on the RX. No idea who makes them or where to get any others... I've never seen them before they day I got them. -Brian
  6. Thanks, but our cars wont be able to manage 70 anyways, and i preffer windy mountain roads over straight freeway. -Brian
  7. Im kinda tired of plannin my trip around john. I dont expect to get my bumpers, and I dont want to deal with Jibs after he's all pissed off for another 5 days. Maybe if there's time we can stop on the way home or something. There wont be time to bring the attorney. -Brian
  8. That was cool dude. I Saw my wagon in there a few times. -Brian
  9. Let us know. We'll be departing Reno NV Monday afternoon. Thats the 22nd probably around 7 or 8pm. We'll most likely make it to Susanville for our 1st night. -Brian
  10. Ok, looks like our stops have been finalized. We'll be staying Tuesday night in Klamath Falls, or nearby. Wednesday night we're going to be in or around Bend... then from there we're gonna make our way up to Mount Hood. This will give us alot of extra time to play around in or around Mt. Hood. From what Soobyclimbs said, there is alot of wheeling to be done up there. Anyone planning on going to the show a few days early? Wanna tag along? I'll most likely compile some maps and schedule stops here in a week or so. -Brian
  11. I think the problem is that ugly spoiler you mounted to your car. Remove it and the car will forgive you and act right. -Brian p.s. only pokin fun, dont take it too seriously.
  12. Pretty much the same footage as before, with me and jibs. But this is kinda focusing on just me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KwOudZJoQxs Ive been playing with this new software I got. I even went and bought a MiniDV cam off ebay, same model as Jibs so you all should expect to see more from me here sooner or later. -Brian
  13. Jibs has video of me driving off the side and getting hung up. I really need to get my FWD working. -Brian
  14. Every ball joint ive bought from Napa has been greased. You shouldnt worry about it, just be satisfied with a job well done -Brian
  15. Jibs has a Samsung SC-D353 MiniDV cam. Im thinking of buying one too cause its so easy to use and the video isnt half bad. And yeah, im VERY impressed with the way the hatch handles with its short wheelbase and the rear departure angle is great! -Brian
  16. They'll accept up to a 100mb file or a 10min video. And yeah, CV's will be going in next weekend. Then the follwoing weekend is when we get to play in the woods! -Brian
  17. Video!!!! I wasnt able to get everything off of Jibs Camcorder. He got some other video that I wish i had here to edit in. Thats what I got and thats what i came up with. -Brian
  18. Yes, Timken is a very reputable bearing manufacturer. Knowing that, i think maybe i'll go buy some just to have them on hand. Would hate to be wheelin and lose a bearing. -Brian
  19. Yeah Dave, thats Prairey City. No problems on this trip. We didnt really abuse the cars all that much. Here in a couple weekends we're gonna have to do a Kyburz trip or something to really test them out. -Brian
  20. Bearings should be the same, but the knuckle, rotors, brakes, cvs are all different. Goto napa and just get new ones. Oh, get new seals too. -Brian
  21. So Jibs came down from reno. He finally got all (well most) the bugs worked out on his Brat, and I wanted to go take the hatch out... so we headed out and I took him to a local ORV park nearby. It was freakin HOT out tho. I think it got up to 110 today, maybe even more. We saw on a thermometer that it was 117 in the shade, but that didnt stop us. I was running in RWD, but this morning we installed my LSD and boy did that help out a TON!! There wasnt much for obsticles. And I only got out to take pix when we were letting the cars cool down. I need to install the 2nd A/C Fan cause the car got VERY close to the red mark out on some trails. We had Jibs cousin with us, Crazy D, and he got some good video. I'm in the middle of editing some of it now, and i'll have it up later. For now, here are the pix I did get: And they had a cool pedistal that we got up on, to pose for some shots: Stay tuned for some video... -Brian
  22. You still in Wyoming with that thing? Any chance it'll make it to the WCSS? -Brian
