  1. Chances are me and Jibs will be on Channel 5. I think thats the most popular channel for CB usage. Thinking of hookin up with Soobyclimbs for some trail action to kill some time, depends on when he'll be in the area. -Brian
  2. I-5 is boring. Me and jibs are gonna make a vacation out of this trip. A trip that would take 2 days we're gonna stretch out to 4. Cant wait, just one day to go! -Brian
  3. Installing stiffer springs will screw up your front camber. It will also put more stress on your CV joints. And it will only lift the front of the car... you still need to work on the rear. A lift kit is cheap. Compare the price of a PK lift to the price of any lift for a ford/chevy/toyota. Save some penny's, sell some blood and place an order for the real deal. No need to half rump roast it and mess up more things down the line. -Brian
  4. Eddy... how much time do you got off? Hit me up on AIM or something so we can chat. My plans are to leave Monday after work. THats this upcomming monday, in like... 3 days (Better start packin!). Anyhow, im planning on driving from Sacramento to Reno Monday, and i'll be picking up Jibs in Reno. We'll be cruising from Reno to Susanville Monday and camping there monday night. Tuesday we'll wake up, have breakfast, wheel, hang out, then mosey on up to Klammath falls where we'll find a campground and setup. Wednesday morning... wake up, eat breakfast, find some trails, hit the road and find ourselfs in or around Bend Oregon to camp until thursday. Thursday when we awake, our goal is to make it as close to Mount Hood as possible. We wanna find a KOA or somewhere to camp where we can shower. I dont wanna arive to the show smelling like we've been sleeping in the woods since Monday. So Friday morning we'll pretty ourselfs up, hit the road and arive at the fair grounds whenever we get there. Could be morning, could be afternoon. Gotta meet up with the other NV Crew who should be ariving Friday afternoon and whoever else might be there. Then have a weekend of fun, leave sunday afternoon/night and head back on I-5. Just B-line it straight home and hope to get back no later than tuesday night so I can be back at work Wednesday. I'll be cruisin in my 1984 GL Hatchback with its 3" lift. Jibs will be in his 1982 Brat with a 4" Lift. So we're gonna take our time and do our best not to break down along the way (knock on wood!). -Brian
  5. Love to 2 tone. Now time to do the upper half. Might wanna paint that bumper while your at it But looking good so far. -Brian
  6. Most likely detonation. Make sure you are running Premium fuel, and check your timing. Could also be dirty injectors. -Brian
  7. Depends on how he converted it. The WRX has a center diff, which would need to be welded, if that were the case no, your stuck with RWD. -Brian
  8. Ah, yes... isnt this Brat here in Sacramento? Saw it on Craigslist and laughed at the guys asking price of $2200. Doesnt matter if he's throwing parts in with the truck... it doesnt make the brat any more valuable... just means you dont have to run to the parts store when you end up doing the work. Still needs a caliper. The stereo install is halfed rump roast... the dash is cracked and the seat is torn. Offer him $900cash and agree to pay $1000 if he asks for it. If he wants anymore than $1000 laugh at him. -Brian
  9. $1800 for a brat and it better be rust free. '82 is kinda old. If its rust free and runs great, i would offer $1400-1500. IF there is a spot of rust, or needs ANY WORK AT ALL... $1000 at max. -Brian
  10. Hum... this might suck. Im planning on leaving Monday night, will be near bend by Wednesday-ish. Hope they get things under control. -Brian
  11. Yeah after 20 some-odd-years the output shaft likes to get stuck in the flywheel. Just lift, tug, pull, kick, jerk and pry until it pops loose. -Brian
  12. Dunno. My RX has had a stumble and miss for the past few months. I got under the hood a couple weeks ago, and wiggled a bunch of wires around. The miss definatly sounds like spark related, so i made sure all my ignition wires were seated properly. Then checked to make sure all the intercooler plumbing was tight and leak free. After that, i removed the disty cap and rotor and cleaned them up the best I could, and she ran alittle better after that. The miss has started to come back, and it really only happens at idle. Once im past 1500rpm she comes back to life. Not sure if you have a new rotor and cap, or what condition your wires are in... but that maybe a problem. Im running 8mm Magnacores. They're great wires... i recommend them! But im thinking the RX is due for a tuneup. Once I have a hood scoop installed I wont be so worried to mess with timing. Your problem sounds like maybe vacuum related if its as intermittent as you say. I would suspect a leak somewhere in your plumbing. Are you running a BOV or BPV? -Brian
  13. You can trust your subaru in the hands of Miles Fox. that guy knows what he's doin. -Brian
  14. He already has a VLSD and is looking for a standard LSD. -Brian
  15. I wouldn't suggest off-roading a turbo car. For one, that car might only have Single Range 4WD. If its the AWD model that is. Then ontop of that, the turbo motor doesnt make good power unless its under boost... and for off-roading you want all your power at low rev's. But that is a good car. The GL-10 is the top of the line for that year. Key things to check will be the CV joints... that and the motor. Make sure it doesnt overheat, and ask if it has ever overheated in the past. Overheating a EA82T will make it a paperwieght real quick. And once you do own it, do everything you can to keep it from overheating. -Brian
  16. When i wired my stereo, i used the wire that powered my cigarette lighter as my switched 12v. Then I just ran a new uninterupted 12v from the battery to power the amp and stereo. -Brian
  17. Thanks for the compliments guys. Definatly will be more film in the near future. Just need to get more runs in. I need to get myself a DVD burner so I can start to produce some full feature length films Definatly gonna need some more tape and batteries for the WCSS. -Brian
  18. Got everything working and decided it was time to master another video. This is video of Jibs, Subieman, NV Zeno & I out wheelin last weekend. -Brian
  19. Just connect a filter to each line that would usually run back to your stock air filter box. Kragen or Autozone should sell small filters that will work. I'd get a pic of my setup, but im being lazy today... im sure someone out there has one tho. -Brian
  20. I hope you arent comparing your GL10 to this car. No comparison. -Brian
  21. That car looks cherry from those pictures. Working A/C sais ALOT! I think $1000-$1200 is fair. I paid $1250 for my '84 Hatchback and it doesnt have A/C, or power windows/steering. I paid $1100 for a '84 Wagon in that condition but it also didnt have A/C or power windows/steering. That car is fully loaded. Looks to be in great shape. $1650 is too much, but I wouldnt kick myself if i handed over $1200. -Brian
  22. Yeah... still working on that JB. I got the camcorder working so I could port all the video over to my computer. then I edited it, and made a video... then after I rendered the video, the finished product came out REAL dark and i dunno wtf is going on. Im about ready to set everything on fire. -Brian
  23. Screw the pix, i wanna see this thing in person! -Brian
