  1. I see in this pic here That the taillight(lane shifter part(lol the yellow light, not thinking today)) I think it looks way better like that, compared to yellow, but you think it will be to bright? Or can i make it red, instead of clear? Thanks, just thought it might be a good change to those taillights.
  2. Hard for me to beleive, like ill bet he kept rebuilding or swapping the engine, but ill bet our subaru's can do it, but im heavy on the pedal, so might descrease mileage of my tranny, i think these engines can go forever, the only thing that probably breaks is the head gasket and trannies.
  3. auto climate? never seen it, you got pics i wonder if i can add this to my legacy, by which you mean auto climate you mean you set ur temp, and the car stays at lets say 72F? OH, and how about you email me it, then ill host the video, then EVERYONE can see it with less emailing
  4. IMO if you want more power, just run a separate amp. I prefer the look of OEM anyway, don't like the car to look totally aftermarket(small things like, strut bar, and thats all lol)
  5. i think he is asking if he can simpily add the air cabin air filter if he just buys the airfilter,(he didnt choose the option for cabin airfilter when new) So,did you open it, and see if something is in it? if its a simple box, i would think it would work.
  6. ya good point, doesn't seem easy to find the radio with a aux, i still think i might solder it, but how hard can it be to add? anyone seen pics, or has anyone explained the proccess?
  7. ya but where is the main question, i dont want to spend to much on a 14+ radio. Like this guy here, hes crazy, 169 for the radio and cd? sounds pretty dam pricey. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/90-94-Subaru-Legacy-AM-FM-Cassette-6-CD-Changer-Stereo_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ38640QQihZ008QQitemZ180058011469QQrdZ1QQtcZphoto
  8. thanks for the reply, i think ill pull it out one off these days, because i want to change all the button lights(is that difficult?) and i , well my dad has good soldering skills, is it very straight forward? (ground, left, right?)
  9. Well i was searching around, and i see only some models came with aux, but it sounds pretty simple to wire up a internal aux, and make it like this one. Might i ask, is this how the CD came from factory? Looks pretty good, never seen it. Thanks, i use the tape at the moment with the stereo jack, but it looks so cheap, and i think this amp sounds VERY good, and it sounds very good with the tape, but not perfect, and it NEEDS to be perfect , just the speakers need to be changed, and possibly add a small sub and amp under the seat like the newer subaru's(legacy, baja, etc).
  10. Yes, good point ,with all the pressure if your windows are up, you cants get the door open, or with then down. Just be sure to jump out while ur driving
  11. I forgot when i saw it, but i saw a used legacy L wagon, in the same condition as mine sell for 5000!! just it had 210k? !! But it was alot more dirty, and under the hood it looked like a mess! I guess you got to find someone looking for a mint legacy wagon, then ill make it big:grin:
  12. well to tell you the truth, that doesnt bother me, if its -40, im ok with the ice:lol: im just not sure about the law.
  13. LOL!! that looks so fun!!! Be cool with my legacy wagon, but seems a little unsafe on the ice, oh well ROCK ON!
  14. Just and update, now the car is totally FWD So this will support the idea that the AWD doesnt work properly, the car is been used all day, so can't take it today, but i rather prefer i brought the car when it snows this week so i dont need to WOT, i can lightly accel.
  15. Definitly sick rides, all you need is some 20 inch rims:banana:
  16. That is a problem, and the car runs good? thats crazy!! 3 clylinders !!! Maybe no fuel is getting to it? bad or dirty injector.
  17. I will definitly consider making a mokery(this the word im looking for) of there shop, but from reading that over they charged me 1200 for rebuilding the transmission? how do i know if they rebuilt the whole tranny? But i went there to begin with for the drive solenoid C and clutch packs to get changed, NOTHING else, but i wasnt there when my dad brought the car to these SOB's. Starting to snow here, so it should support my problem. But to clarify if when i take off in snow, NORMAL accel. i shouldnt get torque steer, and a 2 second delay, with a bang, correct? IF he did replace the solenoid and clutch. OH, i forgot to mension this WHEN I LEFT they said we have spent over 5000 trying to figure out why it wont shift out of first gear at WOT:lol: ARE THEY NUTS!! they took me, guy walks in with no experience, and get this. this has happened twice with this car, in like i think 1995? or 1996? my dad thought the tranny fluid should be changed since it is a AWD car, the car had about 97,000KM and we got the fluid changed(at the dealer), right at 99,978KM (WARRENTY expires at 100,000KM) the car wouldnt shift into 4th gear. My parents did EVERYTHING possible to get the job done for free, but the car was out of warrenty, so we were screwed and had no evidence, and my dad never checked the dip stick for the tranny, so if it was low, the clutch could have got dry, and when there dry there garbage:mad: 2000 later we get the transmission rebuilt, and after they rebuilt it, the car took a LONG time to engadge AWD. We went back and forth to subaru, NOTHING, they said it was 100 percent NORMAL!!! there nuts!! just like this tranny shop. We had to let the dealer fix it, because my dad said he went to all the transmission shops, and none of them wanted to touch the car, because they never touched a new gen legacy, no one had, so only subaru could fix it. And then i found this forum year 2000 or later? cant remember and i posted threads about delay AWD everyone said try a tranny flush or change a few times till it fixes it, but my dad wouldn't do it right, after last incident. Never had the best luck with this car, overall the car is spectactular, but all these mechanics. I got so many stories with bad mechanics, this is my third harmonic pulley!!!! back in the day when the car had i think 130,000KM we got the timing belt changed 1 year later the pulley fell off, and got knows where it went. So my mom drove everywhere with out the belts or the pulley or THE altnernator running, and i point out and say mom why is the trouble light on, i dont know, call your father, i had to go somewhere, so my dad comes, LOL, the front off the engine had just the belts hanging but no pulley. But we still drove home, and everywhere for a while, except this time subaru fixed it for free, now were in 2006 and i needed a new one, oh well, live and learn, to torque things after a noob mechanic works on it:-p
  18. ok, they are definitly scammers there OH, and want to hear ssome thing really funny, im going to take a picture next time i go by the shop, in front undeer where it says Transmission Depot, it says, HONEST and TRUTHFUL workers and service
  19. ok will do, well i didnt get a chance to talk to my dad as he had to go to a course, so still dont know if we have a written down quote(which is pretty unlikely) and my mom isn't much help:-\
  20. guess i could give them a call, but you think i should waste my time going back to the tranny shop?
  21. Ok, i read over the link, and I dont think my dad had the estimate written down He's sleeping at the moment itt is 2:18AM:rolleyes: IM hoping to God that he has a written estimate, the estimate cannot exceed 10 percent of the original estimate. So tommorow morning ill check in. But why the f*** would he install used bearings, and tranny mount good question, but i remember seeing a subaru legacy outside all the time when we went by, it got into a accident, so im guessing they werre pulling parts off it(TCU, engine mount, bearings, my spirit, and bank account, etc) you know those things :-p
