  1. Thats right boys and girls. I will be flying into SeaTac about 1100 the day before thanksgiving. Will be leaving the following monday. It will be nice to actually see a mountain again!
  2. EA82 front lip > EA81 front lip http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/data/500/82Picture_116-med.jpg
  3. If I haven't blown it up and/or torn it back down by then, we'll definitely go for a ride.
  4. Thanks Buddy! Forgot about this thread.. Since it came up last, I redrilled all 18 holes to fit 11x1.25x28 carbon steel inserts.. These things rock.. I probably won't do another EA motor without them Teh wagon kicks rump roast now:D
  5. Not entirely sure, but the spider I have appears to be plug and play on my 87 wagon. Same main harness plugs and everything.
  6. Yup.. 85-86 and 87+ are completely different beasts. fun stuff
  7. Chef Tim has one.. or more appropriately, Vicky does, in her wagon
  8. Couple of good smacks on the end of the axle with a rubber mallet works every time for me.
  9. +1 for pulling the motor. I've done it both ways. Bottom line is, though in reasonably good shape, I'm not 19 anymore. Its a ton easier to just pull it and work on it. I can have a stock EA82T out in 45 minutes. Mine takes a little longer now, but not a whole lot. Slightly OT question for Russ.. We did our TD04s around the same time.. WHat exhaust did you end up using?
  10. I went to 20mm front and rear. Huge difference.Combined with my suspension, understeer is a thing of the past:D
  11. This world does not need more comittees. What it needs is people that follow through.
  12. The GL-10 isn't my daily driver.. Its a toy, so aside from being used to occasionally haul stuff, or when the weather is bad, practicallity isn't really an issue. As to the question 'why?' 1 - Because I can 2 - Because my last project was a lot of $$ 3 - Because this project has not been a lot of $$ Its true, I have put a bit of time into this thing.. But you would probably crap yourself to find how little it has actually cost. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/data/500/82Picture_116.jpg[/url] http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/data/500/82ConReal_10-05-05_004.jpg Find me something else that has equal potential, features, parts availability and can be built on a comparable budget.. Chances are I have already done it
  13. COUld also be an old, slipping belt. Check the belt to see if its mangled/cracked/etc
  14. Depends on whether you are talking about wheels or crank. Just witnessed an STi that dyno'd well over 400 . at the wheels.. With a broken ring land. New motor should be in by christmas. hoping for over ~550 at the wheels.. that would put it wheels over 600 at the crank
  15. Then its likely an 87+. Hotwire type MAF? Somewhere around here is a scan of the 89 GL FSM.. it has the diagrams you seek.. If I can find it, I'll post the link
  16. New here eh? ...mumbles some old saying about putting your money where your mouth is......
  17. Amazingly enough, polytheism still exists. Please.. just don't go there.
  18. Bandwidth= money I looked, but I can't see your USMB Donor Badge anywhere.. Did you hide it somewhere?
  19. 1 - On the power steering. Dexron ATF ( I think it says that on the cap) 2 - No heat.. You're in ME right? Is it cold there? Is it possible someone removed the thermostat? 3 - Vent smell.. yup.. mice love subarus almost as much as we do:D
