my lift is made out of 1/4 inch steel, but it is not connected. If you connect the blocks, then i would say use 3/16, just to be save, because 1/8 just seems wimpy

What do you think brian??? Yea, i'll put a 4 inch lift on it. Its gona be a daily driver, so i can't go insane on tires, cause i need sometin that will get good mpg. I just called the guy, i just need someone to go look at it for me, and see what they think about it. I'm thinking about running like some type of all terrain/ m/t tires. 25.5-27" would be perfect

uhm, i think i will go with 6 lug Pugs are getting harder and harder to find, 6 lugs are very easy to find .. Later down the road, i might make this "project mega hatch" with like a solid axle swap and 5 link suspention. but for now, 4 inch lift will be perfecto!

I found a nice 85 hatch on craigslist, i got to talk to my dad about it, and hopefully i can get it plans will include 4 inch lift, khumo mud terrains or tires of the same general pattern. any way, im excited, i cant wait. I'll soon have a 85 hatch, and a 85 wagon. i just need a 85 brat and sedan

well, this sorta go's astray from ur question, but you should take into consideration swapping in a EJ22 motor. Should be a lot better power . Like 135hp is a lot better than like 75 or what ever. But i forgot who said this but Horsepower sells cars, torque wins races
