just buy a length of fuel hose and replace that section. Rubber hoses do get brittle over time.

Yes you must use a DIS ignition one.... I think you meant to say the programable DIS ignition, pn. 6212 It's a nice unit, however it is more expensive then the normal DIS 2 which you can get around 300 bucks. But with the programable one you do get to set boost/timing curves and other goodies.

yeah I got the dis2 unit. Good ignition, good options, and pretty easy to wire up. I've got some pics on my site.

I can give you specs from my legacy fsm if you want....not sure if it'll be the exact length you're looking with.

yeah....thermostat is on the bottom. There is also a bleed screw on the top passenger side of the radiator (for US models) It is necessary to remove this to help bleed air from the system. Also turn the heat on full blast when bleeding air out.

check the fuses. If you remove the panel below the steering column that should give you a little more room to test things.

This is the part # 31711AA911 I have a complete parts book for the 1990-1994 legacies. It has application guides and other very helpful and useful stuff. That TCU is definitely used in the AWD legacies 1990-1991 to be exact. Definitely check the grounds.

you won't get the new filter completely full with oil.....but fill it with as much as you can......and yeah....there's no need for an anti-drain back valve on the EJ series motors since the oil just drains back in the filter.

Dave, post the part # on the TCU, and I'll check to see whether it's a FWD TCU or not.

yeah, I'd say you'll do a lot better with an aftermarket ECU, since you can tune it for performance & to run right, rather then for emissions.

fans kick on around 190-200 deg F I believe, or so they do on my car. Turn on your A/C or defrost. That will kick the fans on regardless of temp. But yeah if it's super cold, I wouldn't expect the fans to be on much, if at all. Subaru cooling systems are very robust.

You loose a fair amount through the AWD.....however that dyno does seem a little low. It can depend on the type of dyno that was used as well.

hmmmm never thought of the fluid.....I'm using a synthetic ps fluid......wonder if I should go back to just a dextron III fluid.......

Do you know if they used an OEM thermostat when replacing water pump & t-stat? That can also cause you some probs if they used an aftermarket kind.
