If you have the plastic seprator plate, it could be cracked and oil leaks could be developed around the area you mentioned. You will need to pull the engine to replace it with the metal one.

I have a MY 95 outback with no heated mirrors/seats. Saw one 96 OBS limited with winter package. I am wondering if MY 95 is pre wired for such options? If not, can anyone provide some electrical diagrams? Thanks BTW, I did search and found some info on the heated seats swap, but no info regarding to the heated mirrors

How can I remove(saprate) the tires from the rims? I got 2 good wheels/tires from Nissan Maxima, dont want to pay $10 per tires removal fee from NTB. I seems to remember seen some tool(2 metal flat bars) just for this purpose. Please advice Thanks

I read the previous post. Looks like the 99 legacy outback 2.5 DOHC has 8 bolts on bellhousing. I know the 95 2.2 has only 4 bolts. so can I swap a 95 2.2 into a 99 legacy outback(Bad Headgasket) without major modifications? Thanks for the help

Hi I have a 95 legacy and it needs brake rotors and pads. I am thinking maybe its a good time to upgrade them. I've seen a 98 Impreza RS in local junk yard and I have a SVX parts car. Wondering if the calipers are direct bolt on? What about outback brakes(I think they are dual port) Any advice??? Thanks

Seats are direct bolt on. Maplights are as well, just need to be carefull cutting the material. You will find screw holes under there. It gets its power from the door interior light.

just found out Subaru starters have 2 designs. I doubt SVX will fit MY 95 Legacy. But after some serious measurement, it looked like it could work. So I mounted the SVX starter on legacy( It would bolt right on ) But the wire had to routed differently. It started right up, and I tried many times and it worked great:banana: Thanks to everyone!!!

What about seperate the engine and transmission? How many bolts are holding them up together? I read some topics on this board that people have hard time to seperate the two. Also something about flex plate? What is flex plate? Thanks for the help

The SVX starter is longer/bigger than legacy's and It was position differently as well. so it wont work

I hate to do this, but yes in fact I am parting out one of my SVX. It was in a wreck and trany went out, its beyond saveable...........
