Dunlop SP60's
pearlm30 replied to rweddy's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVX
I was about to order 4 sp60 tires until I see the white strip side wall style??? What is this? I thought they all come with black??? Also saw the size of 215/70/15 is $60 per tire( $3 less than 205/70/15) Will I do any harm to the AWD system if I increase the width? Please help Thanks -

I am interested in the Sp60 as well. Sounds like they have the rebates till the 20th and the price range is pretty good. Anyone else has any input? -
I ran into the same problem(when removing TC, the shaft would come out with the TC). Thats why I did my search and found your thread, but without the pics. I later found out there is a C clip that holds the TC and shaft together. Looks like I have to install the shaft onto the TC before put them back in the trany??? Thanks again everyone!!! BTW, how to I post pictures here in the thread???

So I got this 4EAT Trany out of a 98 Forester from the junk yard. I pulled the torque converter out, but the TC shaft also came out with it and looked like the shaft was held to TC by a snap ring??? Is this how it is suppose to be??? So when its time to seat the TC, do I fit the shaft on to the TC first and then install them back to trany??? Please help

I found a wrecked 98 Forester at a local junk yard( pick and pull) and I need the 4EAT trany. A friend and I accidently cracked and broke one of the holes that bolted to the engine( with the pin) during removal.. Is this going to affect anything? Is the trany trashed? Pictures are in my photos in the header above .The broken hole is located below the starter. Any advice? Thanks

My strut mounts( 96 legacy outback) are bad, bearings inside were seized. I took the bad ones off, and now I couldnt get the coil spring to compress enough to install the good strut mount. I used the clamp type of coil spring compressor from Frieght Harbor, but it could not do the job right. Any advice??? Thanks

What cause it to crack? My 98 forester with noisy front differential just developed a couple of cracks on the bottom part of the case, diff oil driped down all over the exhaust pipe and made horrible smoke and smell on highway. Can I use JB weld to temporary repair until I can find a used trany? Has anyone had this problem before? Thanks

I found this Trany Jack on Harbor freight http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=3185 my concern is the bottom of trany(trany pan) is not flat, so can the trany seats on the jack been stable enough for me to shake and pull on without falling off or just slide around on the jack even with chains and straps tie around the trany? Or there is a special adaptor made for only subaru 4EAT trany? Thanks again

I did some reading about trany removal. I dont have the correct tools for the job. Where can I buy these tools and what do I need? I do have the basic tool set. I know so far I will need 1)trany jack, 2)trany adapter plate( is there one made specially for 4EAT?) 3)Belt straps to secure trany on the jack? anything else??? Thanks
