Has anyone seen this yet. I think it's super cool. It's small, It's 4wd and it's lifted. Anyone else like or dislike this car? http://www.insideline.com/mini/countryman/2011-mini-cooper-countryman-first-look.html

5 lug swap difficulty?
I was using 2002 WRX struts & 1992 Legacy struts. The stock springs were way too wide. I think Jibbs had the same problem on his BRAT.

5 lug swap difficulty?
Those look like super good kits, but they are super pricey.

5 lug swap difficulty?
I did the swap in my hatch. I'm in the process right now of installing an ej awd transmission. As far as the axles go, with all of the research that I've found you're going to have to make some axles & a drive line. I'm having Bill make mine, then I'll take them down to portland drive line and have them all balanced. I used 99% Legacy/Impreza stuff for my swap. The only XT6 thing that I used was the rear hub. I also used WRX brakes and FK coil over struts with EA81 top hats (you can't use the EJ strut stuff 'cause the strut tower is too narrow). I used the EA81 control arms and just reamed out the holes to fit the EJ ball joint. Have fun and let me know if you have any questions.

I used Pontiac blue. It was the closest I could find in a high temperature engine paint.

1st annual Subaru Brat Meet Washington State
I don't think I would have wheeled that BRAT. Man I'm out if it's memorial day weekend. I've got a baby due at that time, but we'll see. I was thinking sometime in June, but I'm just one man with one BRAT. Once you've got something 100% down you should start a new post or edit this one so that all of the information is on the first page. I can also post it up on the old school subaru page I started on facebook. -earl

So is there a location, time & date for the event yet? I read through most if the post and couldn't find anything concrete. I'd love to go now that I have my BRAT.

Ya the reverse things sucked, but I have an extra transmission here for it. I was going to use the ITP's but I didn't bring a proper jack and one of the tires is leaking around the bead. Once I get the tubes from ya I'll get them installed and problem solved. I will use them in the mud.
