I love the answer. Well depending upon where you get the front clip from and how complete it is and how much of the work you can do yourself, I would say a good ballpark figure would be somewhere between $4,000 and $6,000. It could be less and it could be a lot more, there are a lot of variables there. My Type R creation probably cost close to $12,000 (the paint alone is over $500 a gallon), but now I have truly a one of a kind car, there may be several out there that look like mine, but I have never seen one that is exactly like mine.
-
That is pretty close, the Type RA and R also had a slightly more powerful engine.

Registration is closed, so you won't be able to. But on the web site where you clicked the PayPal link, it was right above it, right after the "Step 1.", PayPal was step two.

Too expensive to bring two cars, we're leaving the Legacy at home. -
You are on the list, but since you never filled out a registration form, I never had any information about you. Since I only posted those that I had board names for, that I got from their registration form, you didn't get posted. Why didn't you reply to my e-mail to you telling you to go back and fill out a registration form???
-
So, you driving the coupe and your wife driving the wagon???

Here is the list of those who pre-registered, if you don't see you name and think you pre-registered, it is probably because you didn't pre-pay. I made several attempt to contact those who didn't pre-pay, some replied and paid, others I never heard from. If you think that you pre-paid, you'll have to show me proof, I have all the PayPal transactions and I haven't cashed anyone's check yet. PRE-REGISTRATION IS CLOSED!!! Two weeks until the show!!!! Thanks to all that have pre-registered and sent in there money, I will be posting a list later today of all the people who pre-registered and paid.
-
Well, there is less then 24 hours left to get pre-registered AND get the money to me (so mailing the money is no longer an option). There are still some people who have pre-registered and not paid, they have not returned any attemps to contact them, so tomorrow I will list their board names and real names (I think at least one is not the real board name), they will have to pay full price at the gate.
-
Right now there are approximately 100 people pre-registered, if history holds, that will be less then half of the people who show up.
-
There are 13 more people that have registered who do not show on the list. I will post a new updated list on Friday the 11th. By the way, you ARE one of those 13.
-
I got your info and payment, thanks.
-
Got your info and payment, you didn't list the city on your address, but I wonder how many Pomona Ave there are outside of Cal.
-
There will be camping available at the site.
-
Well, there are 5 days left to pre-register and get the money to me. Any PayPal recieved after Midnight on the 10th will be returned. For those of you who are planning to send me something in the mail, you time is just about up.

Hi-power, tricked EJ... some advice?
Dr. RX replied to MoscowSubaruDude's topic in Subaru Retrofitting
There is an expression, "You get what you pay for." So, if you are looking for reliability, then don't look for a junk yard engine. Also, just because you buy great parts, if they are not assembled correctly, they might as well be junk yard parts. Cosworth parts are spendy, but if I were to build an all out performance engine, their parts would be a starting point. Before you think about using a supercharger instead of a turbo, do your homework. If this is going to be a biped (aka motorcycle), the torque generated by a turbo engine should be plenty. I'll take you for a ride in my stock JDM powered 96 WRX and you can see how much torque only 260hp (last dyno) will give you, believe me, it's plenty. -
Well I haven't yet, and if you're like Ed, you get a lifetime guarantee alignment at Firestone, and just take it down there afterwards. If you pull the "A" arm, you will loose the alignment too. For those who have the camber adjustment on your struts, mark where the bolt lines up, then return it to the same position afterwards.
-
I personally wouldn't do the 'a' arm method, that works on EA series cars but not on EJ series car. There are two bolts holding the strut to the knuckle, I remove the bottom bolt and loosen the top bolt, this way the knuckle will pivot out far enough to remove the axle from the tranns, then you can pull the axle out.

Well last night I got to see my child and hear it run, then follow it to a resturant to get dinner. I'm glad to see it running, and glad to hear that it is living up to my expectations. There is one correction though, it is a JDM Legacy tranny, not a USDM. Part of me wanted to drive it, another said 'no', it's not really street legal yet (running on 2003 plates). I reminded Tex last night that if anything happens, like a parking ticket or he gets a ticket, I am still the registered owner (yep, the title never got transfered in last sell), so I will probably get a ticket of something. Anyway, I'll try to find the title and we can get that taken care of.

Help with classes for WCSS8?
Dr. RX replied to ezapar's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Eric, have Sean create a special trophy for EJ20(X) conversions, my special trophy this year (I don't think I did one last year). I'll pay to it. If I make it, I'll judge that class also. -
OK, here is the list of people who have pre-registered, if there is a NP by your name, that means that I have no record of you paying, if you have record and I can verify it, I'll mark you as paid, otherwise send a PayPal from the registration web site. There are two that said that they are sending money orders, that is so noted.
