EA82T Intercooler Qs
calebz, what did you use for the pipe going from the intercooler outlet to the throttle body?

How loud is a NA EA82 with a presilencer & straight pipe?
something i've seen more and more lately, has been bike mufflers. not in outrageous sizes, usually 2.25 in and 2.5 out. seen them on a couple integras, one on an FC3S (second gen RX7), and quite a few on the 80's corollas. my brother picked one up for his car for free, bike shops usually give away the stock pipes when people upgrade exhaust. just a thought.

tire ?
http://www.diamondracingwheels.com/WheelSeries.htm well priced wheels, crazy offset. dont know how many of you are into that kind of stuff. yup.

How would you build the perfect sleeper?
te37 toyota corolla wagon with a K20A from the new honda civics with i-VTEC, potential for 300 NA horse, and sounds amazing. then get rid of those haggard leaf spring in the rear, weld in a GTS rear end, kaaz 2 way lsd. lower the car a little, but not too much, then get some ronal bears. done, kill people in the corners and on the straight aways. and since its a wagon, you can comfortably seat 5, ie the daughters of the people you just beat. yup. EDIT: 100th post, MOZLETOV!!!

what happened to ebay coilovers??
yes, but i put the coilover sleeve on the top since there were some fitment issues on the bottom.

what happened to ebay coilovers??
i currently am running ground control coil-overs on my stock shocks. i've put about 5000 miles on them with no problems. i use the coilovers for a 02-03 wrx, but i have legacy sturts in the front since i did a five lug conversion. it sits really low, no finger gap in the front, and about 1 finger in the rear, and sometimes going over huge speed bumps or in bad road conditions, it might rub a little in the front. my suggestion is to try the ground controls. i got mine for $50 off of ebay. good luck soldier.

Air intake box
i would suggest running a bpv if you have a cat somewhere in your exhaust. when the bov opens, the ecu tells the injectors to dump more fuel in, causing the engine to run rich for a second. unburnt fuel=carbon deposits on the cats, which will over time destory them. IIRC.

borla headers
i think we can trust wjm when he says it still sounds like a boxer. the sounds clips i've heard still sound like boxers, just at a higher pitch. also, who cares it the twe header looks complicated and fugly? function over form. WJM, thanks for the info on the borla headers, i was just looking for an alternative to the TWE header since i'm sitting at $300 for a header right now. i just wait a little longer then get the twe, sounds like a better deal. -Victor

borla headers
EA82's are single port. i'm interested in your exhaust manifold jumblement. pics?

borla headers
dibs on the first one.

borla headers
has anyone else sent a request to borla for an EA82T header? wouldn't mind a borla header on the rx.

supercharged
i found these links on nasioc.com http://www.hotkey.net.au/~shatteredfx/reaperscsystems.html http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=605625&page=1&pp=25&highlight=supercharged+legacy the prices on that first page look a little outrageous to me though.... hope those help.

supercharged
on www.nasioc.com/ there is a guy with a supercharged legacy wagon named reddevil. he has a pretty good write up on his setup. good luck with the build, sounds interesting.

low power 85 ea82
gaping the wires makes you get better gas mileage i think, but doesnt do much for power.
-
RWD Only Soob
watch some best motoring, and you will see how the rwd handles curvy roads in the downhill and in the uphill. but i understand what you are saying, a fwd car will handle well if its supposed to be fwd. i bet civics would handle like crap if they were converted to rwd, thats just how they're designed. there is no real way to prove who is right here, it all has to do with the driver.

RWD Only Soob
i guess i learned something today. maybe this should have a section in the USRM?

RWD Only Soob
its about time this topic came up. as far as your drivetrain parts, if you are just using this as a daily driver, a lot of stuff is going to break. the first thing you will want to do is modify your subframe so the differential and other parts dont wiggle around and break. i'm not sure about your diff lasting too long, so i would suggest the diff out of a rwd car such as a nissan or a toyota (reliable and somewhat cheap). over on http://www.kungfutouge.com/ there is a guy who converted his outback wagon to rwd. he's using a nissan differerential. the only problem with that is you have to have custom made axels. hope that helps.

ea71 into a 1994 Justy? could it be done?
dont suzuki engines bolt in pretty easy? those are easy to find, very reliable, and get pretty good power. i think the engine codes are g10 g13a and g13b, then there is the g16a and g16b which came in the geo tracker. but a long time ago, i thought i read a thread about putting a D series honda engine in a justy. i think that would be your best bet. what ever engine you swap in will be interesting if it isn't stock though, so best of luck. -Victor
