  1. dyno results when completed? i'm saving up for an ej25 with ej22 heads. plus, isn't there a guy on here with a RWD rx sedan? i see nothing wrong with RWD, true that it doesn't have the corner exit capability that AWD does, but it doesn't suffer from understeer in some cases like AWD does. why not try it to be different?
  2. lately, i've been seeing ballasts with built-in ignighters. HID kits are expensive tho. i was talking to my brother (he's off at college) and he has a friend over there who just wired in more relays for the headlights, and now he uses a more powerful bulb. he wired in 2 more relays, cost him 20 bucks for everything. just a thought.
  3. HID bulbs come in pertty much every type of plug, so you won't need to cut apart the headlight to make a bulb fit, unless you really want to. the other piece you have to worry about is the ballast. some companies have plug n' play ballasts that allow you to keep your factory wiring, but i'm not sure on our cars with the lack of aftermarket support.
  4. holy swiss cheese filter box batman. 10mm wires? any noticable difference?
  5. all i see are headlights, roof lights, and wheels + tires. looks good.
  6. on nasioc.com, up-pipes from wrxs go for very cheap. i picked one up off of ebay for $10 plus $10 shipping, so thats another option.
  7. very interesting intercooler setup, what type of toyota did you get that out of? to keep on topic rwd>awd as far as handling. my brother's corolla has 300 pound springs all around (like my car), weighs about the same as my car, and has the same type of tires, and even with open diff, it tackles corners better. rwd gets better gas mileage, less drivetrain parts to power; but awd gets better traction and has better corner exit speed. i guess its all about personal preference, right?
  8. I know exactly how you feel, my dad had Best Buy install a new deck on his old wagon. They didnt crimp any wires or connect anything of any sort. All they did was strip a couple wires, then twist them together and cover them with electrical tape. So I decided to install my by myself, but I used the wrong wire for the "hot at all times," so now i have to have the doors unlocked when I listen to my radio. I'm fixing that problem as soon as school gets out. Best of luck with your setup. yup.
  9. fuel pump and an A/F gauge; some sort of bypass valve or a blow off valve would be good as well.
  10. open the intake, and open the exhaust. k&n put a cone on a stock r32 golf, and it gained 32 ponies. so, getting a cone filter will get 2-3 ponies for you. muffler shops can make you a new y pipe for less than $300, and and the rest of the catback and whatnot for $200 or less. that might add 5 ponies. if it doesn't add much power, it will sound cool.
  11. individual throttle bodies possibly?
  12. sounds interesting; i've always loved rabbits. but i didnt get one because of reliability. then today, i rode in one of my friend's rabbits, spins the tires through 4th gear. it only has 160 ponies too, so imagine that with the subaru growl....
  13. on kungfutouge, there is a guy running a rwd setup on his outback wagon. he broke a bunch of axels and a couple differentials when he first got it, but now he has a heavily modified tranny tunnel and the diff was reinforced, and since hes done that, he hasnt broken anything. some of that stuff can be seen here. http://www.kungfutouge.com//phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=96&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=120
  14. i meant to say bigger plug wires, my fault.
  15. bigger spark plugs just helps deliver a more reliable spark. normally, there is a good spark delivered 65-85% of the time, with new plug wires and a new coil, it jumps up to 9X% of the time. so a coil would be good to get as well.
  16. i'm rarely in port orchard anymore, i hang out in bremerton a lot of the time. oc is a pretty cool place.
  17. port orchard roll call. where in port orchard are you located? we should get a meet goin some time.
  18. if i had an ER27TT brat, i would paint it glow in the dark.
  19. just out of curiosity, what nissan injectors are you running?
  20. the AGX are made by KYB. very good struts. they dont make these for the xt6, so in the front you will need the ones for a legacy, or an early impreza, wrx stuff will not work. the GR2 model is also very good.
  21. do little cars need a lot of torque? reverse, just get out and push the car backwards.
  22. the 80's corolla gts' had the bolster tightener also, i like they way those seats hold. sounds like a worth while swap, good luck. post pics when you're done.
  23. i vote motorcycle engine. lightweight, good power, sounds great.
  24. do you have a clip of that exhaust on google video? if so, that car does sound amazing! i would suggest you get your exhaust done like that, sounds great.
