My Day!! Warning Carter Subaru

I'm most likely going to go to Mike Scarff Auburn Subaru (who Quoted me a lower price to begin with but had to order it. (a few more days isn't going to hurt!!) of course I'm going fight the good fight against carter!! -
Sit down your gonna need some I woke up this morning and made an Early morning run to Pap, And then went to CarQuest for an Alternator, for my xt6, I install it, and get back on the road.. I run up to Carter Subaru to Get my Radiator that I ordered 13 days ago because the first one that I got was defective. The sold it to me Wholesale because I work for another dealership. I originaly purchased it for $307 $335.00 (after tax) on the first trip. on the second trip up I returned it, (same Day) instead of refunding my card she voided the transaction so the money was tied up for 10 days. -- 3rd trip today The wonderful lady behind the counter said the price went up to $398 $429 after tax -- so I argued a little bit and she said that the price was set. I saw the invoice and saw that she charged me retail price. and I questioned it. she said that she gave me wholesale. (now I was quoted $398 List when I originaly purchased it.) so I said your not gonna honor the price I originaly paid for it. she said the price went up in shipping... (I again argued and a service advisor came up and told me to calm down or he would call the cops.) I have a very loud voice in general so he was assuming that I was yelling. I then asked for a manager, The said that there was no Manager there on sunday... so I told them to call someone they said there was nobody so I asked for the managers number and they wouldn't give it to me. (I started to make a scene because There were tons of customers in the lobby one actually walked out) I finally said that I would take my business elseware, Make a complaint to SOA and file a complaint with the BBB - (as well as post on the board) and they said that they didn't fu**in Care. (exact words) (I went to the front desk who heard the entire thing and she told me sorry and gave me the managers business card. I'm gonna ask them for some sort of recovery of my gas money!!) Now to top my day off As I pull out of Carter subaru My Idiot lights come on!! so I pull off into an autoparts store and yank it, so I call a friend and he hits up carquest to get another one for me- the guy at carquest double bills my card. but I get the alternator in and its working except when I dry steer the voltage drops but hey its ok... My Day in a nut shell I learned two things. Stay Away from Carter subaru and Pay Cash for all of your parts!!

Me and My XT had a Photo Shoot today... Now I have been on the XT board more lately because My wagon is pretty much sold to a friend.... but I will soon be buying a GL-10 Twagon or a brat. Ok, I'm down to two questions. Idle, some times it idles at 750 other times at 1100 and sometimes smooth other times ruff, I've cleaned the throttle body and the IAC, replaced the plugs and wires cap and rotor. timing is about 21 BTDC any other ideas? Heat, some times my gauge climbs up to 3/4 and the fan doesn't always come on. the heat inside the car is hot but not engine to warm hot, other times the engine stays at half. and the fans will come on. it has a new OEM thermostat, water pump, new hoses. tested and good radiator new thermoswitch, and new one wire switch on the intake. could this be a bubble or another sensor/bad wire? Heat is good!-- are both fans supposed to come on? I'm at my wits end with these two problems. I'm about to take it to the shop. and have them diagnose/Fix- (I have made friends with the local Subaru Shop) I have tommorrow off and am going to do a few more things to it

I lived on 16th and Roxburry, Behind the texaco... My cars were constantly getting broken into. (i even scored some free Matco Prybars when the dropped in the window) Needless to say I invested in a cheepo alarm system. -
Ok, This sounds wierd... but on my head liner in the back has a drip coming out of it on both sides.. My window is fine and I don't see any rust. I'm wondering if there is anywere this leak might be coming from other than the window... cause The cheapest I can get to pull and reseal is like $200 for my back window... Its getting anoying.

Gosh Darnit, I get one problem fixed and another one shows up!!..... I've done... Suspension conversion... (gonna do Another one) T-belts/Water Pump Tune up. Fuel pump. Drop tank and clean... Fix the Speedometer/gas guage/voltage guage. now.... Needs to be done... Front brakes. 5/10% Alternator is Weak. (when I have heat on it drops below 12.. Drain and Fill Transmission/diff Replace rear bumper. Fix rust through in trunk. fix Cooling Fans... So, on the alternator, that is my next goal. while driving it seems to do fine but when idleing it drops below 12 with the brake lights on (is my alternator going to need to be replaced or can it wait?

Mine cracked from me just looking at it one day... I looked at it and it Cracked.... Seriously though there might have been some slamming on the dash involved trying to get the radio to work... -
thats what it looks like. 195d from the dealer. i'm at a lost cause, my xt-6 cant drive cause it cuts out so i have to drive this. i cant find no blockage nowere, should i risk restricking air flow??

problem is still there, temp is too low when i'm driving(160-170). fan turns on when it should. i need heat when i drive, not when i'm stoped

I'm not going that far.... I'm just gonna run some of this fuel down suck out the rest and scoop what I can out..... At this point I'm pretty sure its just bad gas because I put an octane booster in and the problem got better. -

According to the Service manual there is a filter in the tank. but I think that it s just bad gas.... -

Well I think I have found it.. replace the fuel pump, Still no good. poped the tank open... whiteish yellow coloring.... so I put some octane booster and some heat... Driving a lot better.... also realized that there was quite a bit of gas in the tank... I'm trying to run it down and then I'm going to suck out all of the crap in the bottom of the tank... is there a way to service the filter inside the tank or is just Replace the tank?? -
my 89 xt-6 keeps cutting out under load, i've replaced the filter, pump, coil, full tune-up, t-belts and it keeps doing it. can it be the pick-up in the disty, and can that be tested?? its my dream car, but i'm about to sale it, please help me:Flame:
