  4. you would have to compensate with the offset of your wheels or it would wear out your bearing ect, and also - there not too strong and it would be awful to have a wheel come off at freeway speed
  5. ignore it until it starts doing it when its hot, or at random interavals while driving..

I gave my rx tranny HELL.. 6K launches in 4lo on pavement with the center diff locked.. lil car would light up all four and leave anything sitting at a stop light.. lots of drift in the rain with the diff locked, diff locked on dry pavement too.. way too many 6k launches to mention.. Then i broke a front axle.. so I pulled em both out, locked the center diff and went RWD.. that was the best mod ever for on road performance, i like to call it the "understeer delete mod" Well, the difflock coupler teeth stripped out after a while. I was also quite mean to the car, sliding sideways nuking both rear tires eveywhere i went, breaking 2nd loose, and barking 3rd. It wouldnt hold anymore, so i pulled the tranny, took off the xfer case and welded the center diff, reinstalled and its all good. 170k and still hangin in there.. tough as f*ck if you ask me p.s. ive seen alot of the FWD auto trannys fail, mostly due to the fact that people dont check the diff oil.. you know, the 2nd dip stick
  7. i lay down quite a few marks with my RX RWD conversion.. LSD owns the pavement i must add, cuz i can ride sideways all day

  11. its great, just like it was with the "diff lock" on.. except my difflock coupler teeth broke off.. thats why i welded it.. its great, i love the way it drives now, so.. much... FFUNN!!!

  14. oh yeah its fixed nothing like a RWD turbo scoob with LSD.. p.s. im in south texas and have no need for RWD, hope you guys arent mad at me for performing this operation to my RX...
  15. i had to use an impact to take both the drain and fill out..

  17. All done welded and SOLID it was fun stabbin the tranny back in all by myself, but yeah soobies are so simple to work on. I havent driven it yet, but im sure its fixed

  19. well, the tranny isnt "dead" I converted to RWD and it was fine for a while until the coupler stripped out. Anytime you get into boost it just forces the coupler apart from the diff and it "strips" If I were to put the front axles in it would drive fine, but the car just isnt as much fun on the road with awd (wet roads, offroad are a different story) Since i like the way the car drives / handles with RWD ive decided to pull it apart, open the center diff case and weld er up Ill be heading out to the garage to start shortly
  20. Ive had enough, im TIRED of not bieng able to drive my RX, so tomorrow im pulling the tranny, taking it apart and welding the center diff.. (the lock coupler is stripped out) Ill do what i can to take pictures
  21. I cant beleive they are so small, how does this motor get enough fuel? Well, thats good to know at least, because i have some hose feed 300zx turbo injectors (370cc) that i can use with an afc that should supply enough fuel
