May 16, 201114 yr Ummm holy flippin' wow! Sweeeeeet find that's cool. If it were mine I'd swap it to 4wd or awd (maybe), and just drive it till a problem presents itself. Fix it and keep on truckin! I'm sure the ea82t h8rs will pipe up and the gurus will too. half will say swap it, the other half will say replace ALLLLLLL the hoses and run it. Welcome and enjoy!
May 16, 201114 yr Total museum piece. First ever ea82 for the year, in tis best trim. My opinions say to restore it as there are few original examples like this, and 1985 is the one year exception with the door mounted mirrors, first issue!
May 16, 201114 yr Total museum piece. First ever ea82 for the year, in tis best trim. My opinions say to restore it as there are few original examples like this, and 1985 is the one year exception with the door mounted mirrors, first issue! Its a 86, with the mirrors mounted on the window frame. A beautiful example of mid 80's Subaru. Dont see to many of these that arent 4wd, but it should move a little quicker being fwd (and better gas mileage).
May 16, 201114 yr My bad. i thought i was seeing door mounted mirrors. My buddy has an 85 wgon, and i was trippen on that. I have an 86. I am a fan of the pre 88 and the 87.5 models. Nice thing about this particualr year, is there are defroster vents on the b pillar for the side windows. Clever! they did away with these in 87, but they are retrofitable. Still, this is a sweet ride that deserves some preservation. Detail under the hood and park it at cherry hill !
May 16, 201114 yr Wow You have two very beautiful cars. I love that lego turbo. And I don't think I have ever seen a GL that has been that clean if it were me I would probably leave it just they way it is, it's hard to find such an original example. Great find.
May 17, 201114 yr Author i'm glad you guys like it, i'm just going to restore it all up getting running like a beast again and its going to sit in my buddy's subaru dealer ship as a show peace. ill keep you guys update in the restoring with lots of pics.
May 18, 201114 yr Wow very nice. Ya know I have half a mind to ask you what that little verticle button strip is next to the radio and cassette player? I've seen so many gl's with block off plates and aways wondered what went there. Edited May 18, 201114 yr by SubaruSVXCrazy
May 18, 201114 yr that strip of buttons is for the trip computer. Only the upper lever cars had those.
May 18, 201114 yr Woah, Rare Find. I'd completely restore it back to its Prime. wouldnt change a thing. well unless it needs replaced and I'd go Genuine OEM Parts. Take good car of that Gl-10.
May 18, 201114 yr Author as stated yes a trip computer, but don't ask me how it works ! because i don't have a clue at all lol. Edited February 8, 201412 yr by Nico

She's beautiful! i'm just going to restore it all up getting running like a beast again and its going to sit in my buddy's subaru dealer ship as a show peace oh, please - dont let her sit ALL the time - she needs to be taken out and driven occasionally!
