He was in CO and hauled this blue brat off to the crusher. But he brought me back the Roll bar as a surprise! So that was a silver lining to seeing the pictures.

Yup from What I can tell and was told it was flipped into something and had body damage they didn't want to tackle. The damage on the second photo is why it was scrapped. My buddy had to crush it with a forklift before taking it to the wrecker. Sad day indeed

Pity, the body on the BRAT didn't look that bad apart from the pillar dent. It's never nice seeing a crushed BRAT.

So I started a new job that puts me on the road a lot. I have been working on it where I can but other things in life are getting in the way. Now that the holidays are over I have about a month before I hit the road again so I am trying to get things done.

What the hell happened to that brat it used to look like this brat.jpg

Dunno if anyone answered but that belonged to Subarubrat, he's on here. Unfortunately it fell victim to rust so he parted it out I believe.

It is a shame that Brat met its end, but parts of it will rise from the ashes like a phoenix in other cars!

I was debating with myself about buying it when it went up for sale, but it was just too far away.

So I have been rearranging the garage and moved the brat off the jack stands and on the ground for the first time in almost a year! Seeing it sitting on the ground made me fall in love all over again.

You must be working on the EJ install still? I am seriously considering an EJ22 swap into my 80' Brat, i do believe it would be hilariously fast. Your car is looking good bro!

Sheesh kevin. What a project and way to post all the time about yr brat. Was neat reading about it and seeing where you where and where you are! The motor swap project looks a bit overwhelming, but doable. Thinking about doing the same thing on the one im picking up next weekend.

I was driving out on Sandy here in Portland and spotted this gen 2 so I pulled over and took some pics hoping the owner would come out! anyone know it? It had stickers on the back window and on the tailgate a sticker that said heavy metal.

That was me! Wish I would have read this thread way back, but I missed it. I still have the "Heavy Metal" sticker on the tailgate. It's never coming off. I hope all is well!
