What is the preffered nickname for a Subaru?

Featured Replies

I've seen Suby, Sooby, and others.

Is there a preffered nickname within the Subaru community?

mikkl

i always refer to subarus as subie but that's me.

you could also give your subie a name, like my subies is bart (named after my grandmothers nickname.)

In our family it's always been 'Roo. The kids were big on Milne.

Bruce?

heheh just kidding, i call mine the sooby

nipper

I think it depends on where you're at and how many subaru nuts are in your area. Where I live, subaru fanatics are few and far between, so if I refer to a car as anything but "subaru", I have to explain myself.

Not to offend anyone, but there have been several times I have had to refer to mine as

"Screwburu"

When something broke, or went wrong.

There were a few other expleletives along the way............

Mostly though...............Subie!
