I like everything except how tall the rollbar is.make it so the bottom of the lights is at roof level.then it be awesume...Oh wait,jumpseats..

it seems you learned after bashing your oil pressure sender off.How well does it work in a remote location?how does oil get back into the engine?

Oil doesnt need to make it back into the engine. It just pumps oil through that tube to the sender, and the sender monitors the pressure. It doesnt go anywhere after it reaches the sender unit.

Mick, the brat looks good. Think those tires need alittle more meat tho :)

I love how they don't match!

are those the same tires/wheels you had on the ol' turbo brat? I know you had 30s on redrilled white-spoke chevy 6-lugs, and those look like they've been around awhile....

either way....they look awesome!

yeah, the rear are from the old black TB, but the fronts tires are different. the backs are Cooper Discover LT All Terrains, and the fronts are Wrangler GS-A's. all are 30x9.50... and close enough for off-roading :) the coopers don't come in that size anymore, and the drivers front GS-A was a new one I found in a JY for $10. then I found another GS-A for $25. my MT's were getting a bit cracked and worn pretty good on the outside edges...

These will be my winter tires, then next spring some new mudders hopefully. I've still got my MTs just in case though...

That thing is SWEEEET! hey hows that winch workin for ya?

Did you have an EA81 or EA82 flywheel machined to the XT6 Specs?

what kind of alternator is that? is that the stock EA81 unit?

I ask because it would appear from the photograph that the internally regulated 90 amp hitachi alternator out of a 86-94 maxima _should_ fit right in there. Ive never seen an ea-81 in my junkyard tho, so its been about eight years and i knew virtually nothing about subaru beyond my dads XT6 (it was COOOL) and they were like japvolkswagens..

you could CERTAINLY try finding one in a junkyard and try the retrofit on the car there... and its a spot on match beyond the actual diameter of the casing itself. the mounting ears are spaced in the same locations. look up my name and maxima alternator and theres pictures of the maxima vs the stock ea82 unit. im running one in my GL10 and its fine. well, was running until i saw how off my pulley was (a bit more than 1mm, too much) Ive gotten a new pulley but havent stuck it back in yet. i dont need it, cars bone stock.. but i got it anyhow, cuz itll fit in my Z.

beyond that, nice lookin wheeler! THAT is what i want to take out with my redneck buddies when they go out swampin in the glades out here..... except i cant say i would go with white for the bumper and guard, but whatever floats your proverbial boat. those tires are my style, too.. mismatched but mated up pairs of used tires :- ) (no im not cheap, im tight-knuckled!!)

anyhow, it looked like you needed all the amperage you could get, but it didnt look like the stock unit exactly either.

it's an XT6 alt with a solid V pulley on it. I took the alt to a auto-electric shop and the guy dug for a few hours before finding a pulley that fit properly...

now I just transfer the pulley between XT6 alts.... (mitsubishi manufactured)

drove it to work today. it's definitely got more pop to it... had to slow down due to parked car in lane ahead, and the truck beside me was kind enough to let me into the other lane, and it spun the tires when I goosed it to get into the other lane....
