Australian Magazine Article: EJ20T Subaru Leone (RX)

Featured Replies

Hiya

An Australian magazine 'Zoom' has published an article of an Australian built Subaru RX sedan with full Liberty (Legacy) RS driveline.

The thread is approx 1 Mb so keep that in mind if you are on dialup or download limits - the articles are worth reading if you are considering doing this swap as the author gives some of the 'secrets' away. Anyway, sit back and enjoy!

It has been deleted from the BYB forum.. Guess it was too big.. Would like to see it though.. Never seen an RX with an EJ20G in it.. could be interesting:D

Calebz, you've never seen an RX with an EJ20G in it??? The is what UltimateRX has in it. There are pictures on my web site. I guess I'm going to have to put together a page on the building of UltimateRX. If you go to my web site, it is the blue RX.

It was a joke Corky, Interlaced with some mild sarcasm. I have seen the the Ultimate RX. And someday when its current whereabouts are figured out, I plan to hit up the owner for a ride in it.. maybe even a drive

C'mon Guys, I 'm not nearly that docile to post the Autospeed article again....

The article I had posted was from this months issue of Zoom magazine, It was probably the nicest looking 4 door EJ conversion I have seen yet....

Here is the first two pics of the article for a teaser..

Hey Caleb, how much you willing to pay for info on the location of the UltimateRX???? I'm sure someone here can cough it up for the right price, a car like that doesn't just disappear into thin air, it's out there somewhere.

that autospeed sedan doesn't even seem to have 4wd, theres a picture of it smoking the front tires, and they were complaining about traction problems

The Autospeed car is 4wd, all subaru awd gearboxes are front biased, which means it becomes very easy once you have a bit of grunt to smoke the fronts up - especially if you just have 13" tyres on, which are very hard to get performance road rubber for!

:slobber: :slobber: :slobber: i'll be dreaming of this one. not as baddass as the wagon with the wrx motor in it, but nonetheless a wicked car. poor man's STi. i ordered an STi emblem for my ea82 SPFI wagon. i know it's gonna give me more horses. it has to. at least thats what my friends in the ricer forum said.

I just recieved the email from "Across the pond" and will be trying to get the pictures loaded before sunday . Reason being the delay? I have to active the website again (it's a dormant account for me at the moment

so just for your patience if I can't get it uploaded by sunday I wonder if the Admin of USMB would be okay with the pictures of the article sitting on the surver for the gallery? (personally I think *THAT* is asking too much of the server.)

(WOW) nice article too! (sorry to be such a tease folks.)
