I'm starting to freak out.. (WCSS10 related)

Featured Replies

I don't know where else to post this, so I figured here was as good as any other forum.

My wagon is in pieces right now. The digi-dash blew out a month ago and I'm up to my ears in an analog gauge swap that might not even get the gauges working again. There were a ton of parts that were supposed to be on my car for this years show (intercooler, EBC, turbo timer, VF11 turbo, etc.) that just aren't going to make it now because of this stupid dash thing.

On top of that, I've been taking summer classes 100 miles from where the car is, so I've spent very little time working on it.

I guess the point of this thread is to vent and to figure out who else is feeling the WCSS crunch...

:dead:

thats how it works, Im usually that way just befor a event dont be supprized if the night befor your up all night , and do some more work just befor you leave, been there done that :)

I feel that.

Now, on top of your own personal project... imagine having to make sure the trophies get made, the shirts, decals, glasses, and handling the pre-registration stuff.

I'm up to my eyeballs in WCSS.

But damn, I think this may turn out to be one of the best ones yet!

Good Luck! Hopefully you get everything done in time!

ya i feel your pain, hoping im going to have time to get my lift from SJR and installed, as well as getting a weber rebuilt, installed and tuned so it will run reliably down there the show and back as well as weeling. as well as trying to get my front/rear bumpers finished, subaru rally decals i ordered hoping to recive soon. as well as fitting some ajustable height 98 legacy OB seats front and rear in the wagon (got the fronts in tonight in about 30minutes, gonna try for the rears tomarrow. also building a roof rack.

i bought the car 1 month ago and im trying to get everything done for the show. not including replacing crappy parts (alt first one died grabed another from work and it died today) dizzy vacume advance took a crap so that was another $50 plus tune up and maybe doing a nose job. i dunno though.

I feel that.

Oh uh, I can relate. . . ;) :-p

I feel the crunch, no word on my harness for some time. . . Fundage is low too.

Oh yeah.

Figured out my $$ situation today, and by WCSS 10 I can come up with only about 1/2 of what I'm gonna need to pull it off.

So I'm just gonna shoot for next year.

Good luck on your end! :)

I know of a couple of people close to me that are feeling the crunch. And I know I'll be helping them with their "projects" on top of mine.

I have 3 cars to get ready.

RX needs...

Rear wheel bearing. Those that have changed these know how much fun they are.

New clutch installed (in the mail)

Spider intake installed.

TMIC re-piped.

Front axle replaced.

Detailed, inside and out.

If theres time and $, I want to swap to 5 lug. That means I need tires, already have wheels.

XT6...

Needs tranny swapped and detailed.

A/C recharged.

95 Imp...

Fuel pump needs replaced and leak fixed.

Needs a quick and dirty rattlecan paint job.

Its probably going to be running on a trip permit, no money left over for title transfer and tabs :-\

If we dont get Mykeys engine ready, he might be driving my SVX. Which means that needs work, its got a major water leak somewhere.

Or on the way there.

You are a long way a way, but a while ago I picked up some fancy tool for doing the rear bearings in the ea82s. I haven't used it yet, nor ever done bearings back there before, but i'm told its supposed to be easier this way. I got it from an old Subaru Tech. You are welcome to borrow it, just not sure how to get it to ya...

Feel free to drop it off here and save one or the other of you half the trip.

Well, whatever works. If you want to come on down, I wont hold you back!

That will give me more time to work on stuff here.

I just got another iron thrown on the fire. The Mitsu Galant VR4 I worked on last year is back :-\ It has a electrical problems under the dash

im feeling that for shure just got my hatch put together broke in the new headgaskits but now dont think im gonna have the gas money to take it there (with the legacy) mind you even if i have to leave the hatch out this year i will be there.

I guess I fall under this heading.... 9 months ago I was laughing that I would have enough time and $...... well... here I sit in pieces...

5 sp in Brat, engine now in and running, lots of little issues but can't test out clutch do to failed new axle... guess I forced it a bit on the rush install and popped a bearing out and it came un-hinged as I let out the clutch... rut-roe...

but so far looking good and hope to have it on the road about the 4th.

Sorry no pics as my puter has died.

its ok I'm not even going to be able to make it unless I coem up with extra money before then. My rent is going up about $300 a month, I still don't know if I've got Saturday off from work for the show yet and I'm working on moving again, back to Oregon:rolleyes:

You can ride down with my clan. I'm sure there will be a spare seat.

Especially with 3 cars going down
