Just dropped a new engine in my XT6. Didn't realize how much I missed that car.

I got off my lazy rump roast and replaced my driver side ball joint and axle. FUDGE!!! then I changed my radiator to another used one, (other one would only get hot above 2500rpm on highway) and added a longevity mod losing my stock A/C condenser in the process but hell, it had a hole in it and didn't work anyway.

THESE!!!

IMAG0265.jpg

last week put mudflaps on the legacy, waxed it for winter

replaced a turn bulb on the Brat tailight the other day

drained SVX ATF yesterday and refilled with new

put winter blades on the Legacy.

search for snows for it is still on.

Pulled the engine in Barry (my sister's Roo) for a clutch replacment and misc work: Called around today and not one machine shop is open today. Will have to have the flywheel resurfaced Monday. Installed Delta Torquer Cams , installed Weber, found that the motor mounts were shot, ordered those, plummed the PCV system and found more hoses that need replacing. Can't complain, I really have not done much since the last trip to WCSS, so, it's been just over 3 years since I have done any major maintenence (besides oil changes) on this car.

I finally wired up my selectable boost control plumbed it as well. Next up testing to set a safe high boost setting (low setting is stock boost).

Wired both rad fans through a relay. I thought I did something wrong when it kept blowing fuses turns out I needed a bigger fuse and the wiring was fine.

Painted the tops of my XT's bumpers black with Plasti Dip, to cover battle and sun damage. The overspray tape needs to be scored with a razor blade to remove but it's otherwise an easy job.

bwahahahahahaha! you so funny guy lol really, I think it looks like a STARQUEST!!

really though to the OP of the blue xt, that does look pretty hot man, I can't lie.

unplugged the Legacy SS power antenna at half extension (winter prep so it doesn't ice and destroy the teeth like they always do).

Advise all owners with power antennas to do the same before first ice storm....

I replaced the headlight bulbs on my RX a few weeks ago. Put in Silverstar Ultras. The bulbs I removed were stamped "SEP 87." One of them is still good too. Impressive!

I lost the RH headlamp bulb AGAIN third one in a year grrrrrr:mad:

Just throw your hands in the air and give that junk pile to me :grin::grin: I will fix it's headlight problem

j/k I keed I keed. Have you checked the mounting of the light, extra vibration may cause them to fail. also, check to see if the connector isn't burned, it can cause extra heat on the terminal and premature failure...

I love your car man.

I'm thinking it is probably s further symptom of the rusty housing syndrome. I just need to replace the whole housing and find one that repels water rather than collecting it.

Man I was just thinking of that comment. Wondering if anyone got my joke!

Tore out the nasty old carpet in the brat and slapped down some herculine, it looks alot nicer and I dont need to worry rust forming under the carpet anymore.

Yeah thats some tuff stuff, I coated the Legacys hood with it.

It Looks Very Nice!...

but it Looks to be Placed Backwards: with Lights Pointing to the Front, not to the Passengers

... ...

Nope, thats just how they are on the 2nd gen Legacys. The screw holes wouldn't lineup if I turned it the other way. :)
