  1. hijack but related...i did the Hella conversions for all 4 lights on my brat. 2 times now, sometimes i cannot go back to just low beam, like the switch isnt working on the low. hibeam switch off, and the "beam" indicator still lit and all 4 lights are on. I had to disconnect the high lamps on my last drive. Do i need a relay, is my switch getting fried, or do i have a lamp grounded out somewhere? sometimes it works fine, but then gets stuck on high...
  2. also, did anyone mention this. automatic axle is different length than 5spd axle.
  3. well, i ended up using the stock skid plate, with a fabb'd cross bar welded to front of the plate, and rear slightly bent. rear attached like stock, front welded bar attaches to the front pushbar lower bracket via bolts. all this on a 4" lift brat.
  4. 4 headlights low uses outer bulbs on low wattage high use outer on high wattage, plus the inners. your low beam high portion is out. replace the light.
  5. i bet the linkage is fine, i bet the "grooves" of the wiper arm where it attaches are stripped. easy fix. to fix. take off arm retainer nut to the side not working. check the grooved/probably find pieces of metal. get a small piece of screen wire, the metal kind. enough to fit over the wiper stud. place arm back on, tighten nut. the screen wire will cause it to grip again. rock on
  6. do you think my Baja Widetrack AT's 205/75/15 or my 175/70/13 Continental now tires, will do better in snow. last year i drove with the snows. i have a choice this year. both sets are near new, snows are studless.
  7. when you compared the new axle wth old, maybe old axle was pushed in, and the new axle stretched out. would make them look same, but they might not be. compare both axles when stretched out.
  8. good to meet, now we need to go crash nasioc http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=850855&page=448 they meet first wednesday every month.
  9. brown muscle, i dunno what to say, you know that this is okay on older cars without airbags, not ever recommended with cars with airbags.....your lucky.
  10. 100hp and AWD, compared to 400hp RWD, you will see what the subies AWD system is all about. on snow, ice uphill, etc, the subie will outrun anything on the road with its puny little boxer engine. you will be racing everyone in the snow, and win no probs.....
  11. check/clean all the electrical connectors to the fan connector up by the radiator. mine was corroded (green), and cause no fan when i got the brat.
  12. not a good pic. I think the stub is there in the pic, with the oil seal around it. and the axle is too short to hit the stub. did you push in the axle to compress, and pull out out to see if it stretches enough.
  13. have not given any of mine names yet, but want to pick up a name for the svx. anybody got some clues on something and maybe will get plates to match.
  14. its got a few goodies, nos honda bra, nos honda armrest, nos honda sunroof deflector, DC sport front strut bar, neuspeed rear lower bar, and JDM mint leather wrapped steering wheel, and JDM real SiR spongy mid wing, not the fibergalss nock but the real deal probably something else..
  15. Civic didnt come easy. took me about 5 years of hard searching for this one. It replaced another 91 hatch si that i bought a month before i found this one. and it replaced my crx si. I can say, after i got it, i still searched for one even better. cars are addiciton for me. the last 8 years i have still been watching, and this one is the nicest by far i have seen come up anywhere, thats 8 years agressive searching or more. I now know this is the nicest one in the states. thanks.
  16. control arm/tire hanging, or is the tire on sitting on ground. if the arm is extended down/car jacked up, yeah.
  17. want to wash the svx before the photos. and its cold. need heated garage lol civic-its like a new car showroom condition. preserved speciman...
  18. where are your old tires wheels going nice tires there. Big
  19. had the problem and it turned out that reversing the heater hoses gave me heat, guess there is a right and wrong way for the hoses to go on. right way give heat, wrong way no heat. that was my experience.
  20. admin on here says the site might go down for maintenance, means we need to give emails to keep in contact, or check the chat room my email is bheinen@yahoo add that to your address book to keep me updated if we lose the site for maintenance
  21. could have just been cheap gas, like not premium, doesnt sound like they tried that hard to find the problem. Your ridgelines AWD will suck and you will go back to a subie.
  22. I just cleaned the garage up, making a spot for when i bring the SVX home on Friday night. http://s405.photobucket.com/albums/pp132/bheinen74/garage%20cleaned%20ready%20for%20svx/ civic is up front-I had to jump the battery it was drained down SVX will go on the right side, Brat will move to the left, white car sits out on the pad to left of garage, and the wagon is for sale so it will be going bye bye.
  23. i could do 2pm... yeah, still early enough to see the cars before dark to get pictures, and won't keep us there when its dark and cold. Even if there's only a few of us we can discuss our cars, parts etc and get ready for another meet later, maybe discuss a little trail run when we have some snow..... bh
