How does ABS deal with a simultanious 4 wheel lockup?
bheinen74 replied to RallyKeith's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI already posted, but I am sort of pissed off that these "technology" wonders in cars are forced onto us. Manufacturers charge the buyer in the long run, for all the tests costs etc involved, and yet again, it is stuff not needed. Just like airbags. If you wear your seatbelt correctly, airbags really do more harm than good. autoleveling headlights, really suck on the roads around here. et etc rant, and tires that monitor air pressure, what a waste. enuf said. sorry to ramble on other things

Heater core?

Heater core?
small drop on the duct eh? i say the valve is where you leak is. get the car to temp, and with the temp selector, change it from cold to hot and back and forth, see if you can see the drips while changing temps.

Heater core?
on the drivers side near the gas pedal, there will be a black plastic cover, it snaps into and outta place, kinda trick to get it out. then you can see the levers, and rods and valve, up by the footfeet near the center.

How does ABS deal with a simultanious 4 wheel lockup?
bheinen74 replied to RallyKeith's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXyep, on pure ice, even slightly on the brakes and all 4 will lock up and you will be off on a nice little slide. better just to downshift at the point and get the speed down. abs= mostly evil. if there is no time to downshift, just try to ease off the throttle and try to keep the car going straight, or around the obstical.

Heater core?
could just be the heater valve. they are easy to change sort of and Ebay can be had for 49.99 new. the green gator-aid looks like coolant, but it sure tastes better.

Low beam wire
just have to tap one side, usually the one near the battery. groundwire battery hot wire to dash accesory switch switched wire to the indicator bulb wire, with a wire nut, that goes to switch doing it this way, you can have the dash accessory switch off, no lights or switch on, and the lights come on when park lights on, and of course with headlights on.

Headlight dilema.
hijack but related...i did the Hella conversions for all 4 lights on my brat. 2 times now, sometimes i cannot go back to just low beam, like the switch isnt working on the low. hibeam switch off, and the "beam" indicator still lit and all 4 lights are on. I had to disconnect the high lamps on my last drive. Do i need a relay, is my switch getting fried, or do i have a lamp grounded out somewhere? sometimes it works fine, but then gets stuck on high...
