Assuming she hasnt done a motor swap, the BRAT wont have timing belts.
The belt that connects the alt and water pump is the main one, are you getting goofy voltage readings?
You might want to post a duplicate or have a mod move this thread over to the new gen forum. The EJ guys might know how to help you better than the EA users.
That will work, thanks fellars. I will try and get around to doing that this weekend, I could always pull onto a parking curb and do it. Maybe I could get one of them pictures like the 4WD guys have and then I could finally fit in.
Did both hoses, upper heater hose, and thermostat and gasket (Yes, GD I got them from the dealer per your advice). I put new coolant in when I did this work on Saturday.
At startup after a few preliminary revs of the engine I hear the sound of coolant rushing through the heater core I assume. Is this a normal sound that most experience or a sign that I need to flush out my heater core?
I drive a BRAT and those are as rare as virgins here in the southeast. I don't usually have that much trouble.
Other daily driver on the opposite side.
My hatch used to do it. I always attributed it to a burnt valve or crappy egr valve. Mine sounded like a confedereate artillery unit though. Got pulled over once a week..
