  1. Thought I could tell people that the whole blue car gold wheels craze started with the brats and they brought it back for the STi. I might do the bronze or I might just do a real high quality white, I dunno.
  2. Someone should send an email to them and try and get a group buy discount for the members of USMB. Its pretty much a given that every active member will buy one of them.
  3. I have access to a sandblaster to use on them wheels, been leaning toward gold thinking that would look good on a blue colored car. What do you fellas' think?
  4. Its gonna be awhile before I do any kind of stereo stuff, Ive been stuck doing wheel bearings, ball-joints, and U-joints out the wazzoo these last few weeks. Curt, your offer sounds good and ill keep you informed when I start doing that. Im waiting on when school finishes up for the semester so I can start working 40+ hours a week again. What holds my radio up in my blue brat is a couple pieces of ply wood stapled together with blue cloth, tacky as could be, wires exposed and everything. Luckily I can snag the good one out of the white brat. Bratman how about you upload some pics of your brat sometime, i would like to see your EJ series swap.
  5. What Curt has is exactly what I want to do once things start to warm up. Think I will try and get my dad to see if he can get me a cheap cd player from unclaimed evidence at the p0lice department. I take it the original OEM one is non-functional after this install?
  6. Im wanting to take a cd player and swap into that bottom slot on that radio and put it in my blue one. Anyone have any advice on this?
  7. Id like to see a list of all the different makes and models that have been confirmed to have part interchangeability with our subes. Well we got Datsun/Nissan now, what about toyota or honda? Doesn't Mitsu make something for us?
  8. Chef_Tim did it on his hatchback, the way he described it to us he couldnt find a body man that would undertake the task. If you can get him to post a picture of it,notice that he's got a cheese grater on the roof of it.
  9. I think when it gets warmer around here I might start parting the little stuff out off of it after I have my turn at the buffet. The reason it looks like hell is it sat underneath a bunch of oak trees in the woods since the Tennessee blizzard of '93. I want to repair my window roll down handles, im stuck with ratchets jammed on there to roll it down. Thought about maybe if I could get the motor running good I would take it out and put it in my hatchback: After that realization sat in I had to take a step back and think about what I had aquired. Then I called just about everybody I knew and told them about what I had sitting in front of me. Yeah I think I saw on here that it was a special factory option for that year. I think there might be someone on here that might want to buy it, I could tell them how to make an exact reproduction of it so it looks OEM.
  10. I had started it once before and it ran with a little help from some fluid. Now it just turns over. The dash is the one out of the white car it just needs to be cleaned up a little bit and it would beat my cracked one.
  11. If I got caught driving a mitsubishi I would shoot the dog and join the military myself.
  12. I still can't get over the fact that my two brats arent so far apart. The first time I sat in it I felt the whole car just give with me in it, felt like my rear was touching the ground. Too bad the seats were already raided, would have made a good profit of them.
  13. That was my first WTF moment. I plan on snagging them here very shortly. Yeah, those center caps kick rump roast. That thing still has the original Fuji Heavy Industries plug wires on it.
  14. Last week I purchased another BRAT to use as a second parts car. Got the thing for $150 and had a hell of a time getting it loaded up on a trailer being that it was rusted and frozen to the ground. I finally made it back out to my granny's house today and decided to take some pictures and get a better look at my recently aquired beast. I hope you all enjoy this as much as I did. Other than being rusted out to where hell wouln't have it, its got a pretty sweet interior. Sweet non-cracked dash: Now this is where things get weird. I checked my VIN numbers on the new brat and it was made in (5/83). Same as my blue one, checked both plates and the last three numbers on the white one is 147, blue one is 151. So I assume that the new white brat rolled off the assembly line 4 cars ahead of my blue one. Hope you all enjoyed this.
  15. I knew chevy had done some recent Isuzu cross-overs in the past year with the Isuzu Pup which was the same thing as an S-10. Wasn't aware the LUV was the same thing though.
  16. Id be interested in seeing a picture of that.
  17. The first day I find a pentastar on it, im selling it.
  18. Currently, I am bored out of my mind so looking at old datsuns on ebay I stumbled across this. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1978-DATSUN-620-PICKUP-Best-on-Ebay-CLEAN-CALIF-TRUCK_W0QQitemZ270083500786QQihZ017QQcategoryZ84165QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem To get to the point, the air cleaner box on this looks awfully alot like that on EA71's Then there was the little body code sticker that looks exactly like the one on my brat. I am aware of the fact that we share parts with nissan/datsun. Just thought I might be able to contribute to this community that has aided me on several occasions.
