  1. Looks like the same material that my uncles 96 L seats are made of. I vote SVX.
  2. Lordy. I'd rather have a head gasket failure. I am really surprised to see a car of your age with a heater core failure. How did you discover that it failed?
  3. My 95 Outback doesn't have a dome light. What did you snag yours off of?
  4. I would snatch it up like GD said and drop a good EA81 in it and keep on trucking. I want to see some pictures.
  5. Some do the o2 sensor ran into an anti plug fouler that is put into the exhaust to maybe eliminate the code. The results on that working is sporadic from what I have saw over the years.
  6. The headers should bolt right up to the stock cat. Even the stock headers don't contain a cat.
  7. The deed is done: In car view: Took the scenic route: Stopped and saw my Grandmother on my way back. Here is my first car, 91 Legacy L. Came a long way, baby.
  8. That's crazy. Mine had plenty of slack when I exchange my bulbs back in the summer. Glad you got it working though.
  9. Nothing wrong with that. If I were more mechanically motivated, I would do the same thing.
  10. I like it. I looked at wagon in that same color and year but decided to pass on it since I didn't want to take another head gasket gamble.
  11. Yup. H3 55W bulbs. I got the Hella opilux XY yellows in mine and love them dearly. Don't know how you removed it your fog assembly but if you lay on your back and look up at it you will see 2 10mm or 12mm bolts holding the bracket in there. Then it will pretty much fall out after that.
  12. Don't be surprised if you get a check engine light after the header install. The o2 sensors tend to not like them too much. I believe the p0420 is a common one. I have saw some of the RS guys wrap the headers to cure that program.
  13. I think a first gen Legacy that has been taken care of would be your best bet on a good car.
  14. Sorry to hear that man. This car "is" my dream car too. I never thought I would own it either, not at my age. It just seemed like the right time to jump on one. Heck, they aren't making any more of them this body style. I still need another EA81 in my driveway to stick next to this thing and my 95 "OutSack, War Wagon".
  15. Your wagon auto? I don't think my 5 speed one has EGR.
  16. Does the VIN plate on the door jam look crooked to anyone else?
  17. What all was involved in the retrofit. I may snag the one off my grandmothers 91.
  18. How about just taking it to a muffler shop instead of using the one size fits all stuff?
  19. Sucks dude, that's the way these things work. No shame in passing on a rough vehicle.
  20. I can only imagine what those seats look like when you take the seat covers off. I love how the dealer sprayed tire cleaner on the spare. I hope you don't over pay on that thing.
  21. Yeah man. The thing everyone does around here is the wingless trunk swap. Honestly, I am not a fan of it and to see an STi actually running around with the correct trunk is a rare sight in itself.
