  1. You don't have to remove anything, the picture is a wrx but you can get the gist.
  2. This is the best description I can give. While sitting in the car it will be just about vertical to your left knee right in the kick panel.
  3. Boy that does look good. Can't wait to see a group shot of it and Lil' Blue.
  4. This sums every bit of it up when it comes to the EA82T. I agree with GD, hope its not too late to pass on the sale.
  5. Nothing wrong with going to a junkyard or posting here in the "wanted" section.
  6. Holy crap that thing is in great shape. Throw up some interior pics.
  7. Never heard of someone getting that lucky. Do they compression test to make sure. Pretty crazy if everything is fine.
  8. I think it will. Probably will have to swap intake manifolds since the 99 is MAF based and the 2000 is MAP.
  9. I had 16" WRX wheels on my 91 Legacy with stock 205/55 size tires and had no trouble at all. Noticed a huge difference in handling.
  10. You should be able to find one at a junk yard. Not sure if you will be able to use one off of a 98 since it was DOHC that year and 00-01 were MAP based so those years are ruled out.
  11. I put an auto zone reman one on my Brat when it died after work one day. Of course I didn't have much of a choice. I do try and stick to OEM on most items simply because there is a large difference in quality.
  12. How about just going ahead and replacing it? That way it doesn't kick the bucket on you 70 miles from home and end up paying the tow bill on top of a new alternator.
  13. Yep, the 2.5 and 2.0 DOHC are in there horizontally. The SOHC engines are in at angles.
  14. I am sure you'll remember it but make sure you get the Subaru gasket for the thermostat as well.
  15. My money is on the alternator, those things can be finnicky when they are on their way out.
