  1. The reason I did not share my price is because I am good friends with the owner there and he gave me the hookup, my experience would have varied to his. If you must know, he did it all for $800, no flywheel. that includes parts, and labor. The local Subaru dealer quoted me $1200.
  2. Do: buy your intake gaskets from the dealer. Don't: buy them from an auto parts store.
  3. How about posting in the wanted to buy section instead of the general subaru chat forums?
  4. It does sound like you are needing a clutch to me. You don't have to shop the Subaru parts department to get a OEM spec clutch. They are all Exedy clutches and you can get the OEM equivalent for alot less than buying from the dealer. I just had the clutch done in my 2.5RS and I chose to go with an independent Subaru mechanic and was very happy.
  5. Interesting. Can you get some pictures of your engine bay from all sides?
  6. I strongly suggest upgrading to a dual-core radiator for your car. If you are going to go the flushing route. Frank B suggested to me that I buy a garden hose replacement fitting, they are both 5/8. I took his advice and it did wonders for all the stuff that was flushed out. Here is what you will need to get:
  7. That's a good looking wagon.
  8. Take your alternator off and you'll see what he is talking about.
  9. Jordan, send me some pics of this thing when you get it. Thats a sweet deal, enjoy that automatic.
  10. It's not easy living with an addiction.
  11. Dude you got a good upgrade from the RS. Throw you a turbo back exhaust on there and get a tune and you'll be set. Can't wait to see pictures.
  12. We need to see more pictures.
  13. These things really are turds, that three speed automatic doesn't help things either. I think that EA82 engine is only rated at 84 horsepower if you have a carb'd model.
  14. You will need to swap bumpers and change fender liners. I had to re-read that a couple times. Most people with a wagon go to sedan fenders as they are the more aggressive ones.
  15. Get you a couple timing belts, and tensioners for starts. Also, sounds like you are needing an oil pump and reseal. It wouldn't take much to get this thing back on the road but after all, it is a 22 year old car.
  16. Have you checked your wheel bearings as well? Jack the car up, and grab the top and bottom of the tire and see if there is any up and down movement.
  17. This my thread from when I had to replace the intake gaskets on my BRAT. Take a look, it is why you should stick to Subaru intake gaskets. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=81092
  18. I too, would pass on the DL. Just spend the same amount and get one that already has the 4WD installed.
  19. White BRAT "should" have the navy blue interior. Also, those aren't factory seats. Got any idea what they came out of?
  20. Anyone got an idea on what it would run to get it repainted?
  21. Least we know we are all in the same damn boat.
  22. Hella supertones too, looking good Rob. What wheels you got going on there?
  23. Nice snag! Might want to determine why the motor was removed in the first place. I had a gem top exactly like that on my 83 BRAT and I loved that thing. Did not leak and drop and gave me a place to sleep the night of my bachelor party. Worst sleep ever...
  24. This is mine last week before getting windows tinted, it was raining hard then too. Figured I would give your RS a good send off.
